And he is an alpha unit, y'all. Getting down with the funky kids hip to the shizzay.
[Height;;] around five foot eleven. Not as tall as David. Grr.
[Playby;;] Colin Morgan
[Build;;] Muscly enough to take you out. *eyes*. He's pretty trim, actually, and chiseled. He is maybe not as statuesque as his older brother, but he has the same air of dignity and posture... and a sort-of strut. But hey.
He has good legs, and can run pretty quickly. He also has a borderline washboard chest, which no one's complaining about. He really should take better care of it though, instead of spending hours sitting around with an iPod in his ears.
[Tattoos/piercings;;] None. He has considered getting a massive tattoo across his back, then maybe his mother would pay attention to him. Angst angst angst.
[Scars;;] A couple. One from falling out of a tree, along his shoulder blade. He had a reaction to the DNA injections as well, and they made him ill, so he now has a rather nasty looking red line along his upper left arm.
[Appearance;;] I said it up there somewhere *pokes*. Chiseled. He has a very distinct jaw line and hardened features that the photograph up there make a little bit worse than they actually are *le cringe*. He has blue eyes and pretty scruffy black hair, which he blames his genetics for as with most things. He has quite pale skin. Despite his complaints, he is fairly good-looking. True, he's not quite as pretty as David, but he is a lot less... girlish.
[Personality;;] Pretty moody, but he does have an excellent sense of humour, and when distracted from his usual 'I hate you all' pursuits he's a great person to be around. Yes, he does dislike his brother, for being cleverer than him and an all round better son. He spent quite a few months picking on David's curious sexuality, though got bored of it when David showed no retaliation whatsoever.
Compared to the more shy of the two, he is outspoken and forward, but in reality he's just as confident as any normal human being would be, the distinction coming from David's own social incompetence.
[history;;] Moss was named after his grandfather, Harvey Maurice, yet called by his middle name to avoid confusion in the family. He grew up in Glasgow for the first part of his life, his father Edwin in the army and often away, leaving him at home with his mother and older brother.
At a young age, the two boys got on very well. There was the odd case of sibling rivalry but then again that was bound to happen. It was not foreseen that, when David began to mature into an older child he would start to show exceptional promise in education. Maurice tended not to be so good in academic circles, and yet excelled in sports. Though no one paid much attention, as to his father it was just a disappointment.
When they moved to the south of England, Moss and David grew further apart. It wasn't really dislike to begin with, they just moved in different circles. David was quiet, he sat on his own and read and did well in class and was... well... a bit of a geek. Moss was a pretty extroverted kind of child, hanging around with other kids that played rugby and equally violent and yet brilliantly entertaining sports. Moss was given a place on the under ten's team... and then the secondary school reserves, and finally the first squad.
And yet it still didn't appeal to Edwin. David was a different matter, he was going to work in medicine, or law, or something equally brilliant. It fell to his mother to pay him all the attention. It wasn't until he was ten, and Edwin and Mary split up that Moss' skills were appreciated properly. Though David of course had a far more difficult time, since he was realising his sexuality and all that jazz. Moss had enough relationship problems of his own in his teens, going through girlfriends quicker than pairs of socks. And yet still David's life was at the forefront.
When Edwin returned, full of rage, and tore David's life in two, it should have fallen to his mother to pick up the pieces, to make everything better. But she was still in shock. Much to the older boy's surprise, it was his envious younger brother that was there for him. And for once it seemed they may begin to rekindle some of the earlier relationship they had before.
That was of course until David's disappearance, and in her grief and despair, Mary became a drunk and an unfit mother, and pretty much a waste of time. In an alcohol-fueled rage, she screamed tainted truths, telling Moss he would never be as good as his brother, he could never hope to do anything so brilliant, and the final bullet was when she told him it would have been better if he had gone missing instead.
The straw broke the camel's back. Moss packed up and left. Only to walk straight into the capturing arms of the same company that took his brother from the beaches of the Bristol Channel. USASI.
