And he is a Surgeon and doctor of medical genetics, And if you have reason to be his enemy then watch your step...
[Height;;] Six foot... yeah...
[Playby;;] MR DAVENPORT PLZ
[Build;;] Well-built. He has been pretty much recostructed by the R6 Renaissance machine and is muscular, lithe, well-constructed. Built like a sportsman, though he doesn't often show it. He tends to keep his clothes on in public, you know.
[Tattoos/piercings;;] None.
[Scars;;] Lots. The most awful are the five deep, un-removable circles pressed along his spine where the probes entered his flesh. Not nice. Think The Matrix only a bit more painful.
[Appearance;;] Darkish-brown hair, short-ish, with a floppy fringe of win. He has quite a soft, pale face, with rather gorgeous bluey-green eyes.
[Personality;;] Angular, to say the least. He's got a nasty streak, but it very rarely rears it's ugly head. It's mainly reserved for vengance, which he doesn't often have a need for.
Other than that, he tends to be a rather compassionate individual. Sharp-witted, kind and easy to get along with. He tends to be rather appreciative of the world around him, having been removed from it, and having suffered from that disease for so long... the disease that took his life.
[history;;] A public-school educated, well-read, Oxford graduate. He was born, raised and educated among England's finest, until he was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
A big blow to your life, of course, but there are always chances. Unfortunately for James his chance came in the form of gene therapy. Something he could not afford unless he worked for a genetic research facility and helped to develop it himself and inevitably trial the bloody thing on his own flesh and blood.
It became too much. The torment of the experiments was a thing he just could not bear. He returned to England and began radiotherapy instead.
But, as you probably know, it is not so easy to leave USASI as you may think. Commitments, the facilities and things he could do, the lust for a cure brought him back. Only to result in a massive technical failure during his treatment, the electrodes of his creation, the R6 Renaissance, scorching through his skin, probes snaking under his flesh, killing him.
However, they killed the tumour. They changed everything. He was physically rebuilt by the machine. But that didn't change the fact that he had not survived.
But the USASI contained a machine that could restore life. The problem was, there are very few people who can use it, one of whom has only one functional arm and tends to cause a lot of problems for a lot of people.
Carmella restored his life, then did a runner, leaving him to wake up on a hospital bed, spread out like a body in the dark bowels of USASI. Some day soon, he's going to wake up...
