She takes me away to that special place Jamie shrugged. "I don't know why they don't make it more comfortable. Maybe they haven't got even in their budget to give the luxury to every lab" she said, her ears twitched when Rachel said something about magazines and her tail began to wag slowly again, a grin grew onto her face. "A magazine would be nice but to get out of this cage for a couple of minutes to stretch my legs would be better. The magazine would do though" she said, her kind smile on her face. "Thanks" she said after a couple of moments silence.
We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes Johnathan didn't know what to say so he stayed silent with a frown on his face and his face looked sympathetic for Jack. His eyebrows furrowed as he glanced at Carmella, he was in deep thought as he stared at her. "Hm" he grunted, nodding as he registered what Jack said.
Don't look into my eyes to look into my heart... "True. I remember when Tyler made as much mess as he could" he said, his smile growing into a grin when he thought of the happy memories of his dead son then his grin was replaced with a frown as he remembered his son was dead. Snapping out of it he saw that Rook was scooping the earth up into the pot again. "Do you want me to help you with that?" he asked, briskly walking over and squatted to her right and started helping scooping the spilled earth back into the plant pot.

Rachel grinned, stepping back into the middle of the cage room, carefully avoiding the pools of blood spattered here, there and everywhere. "What you into? Music, gossip, cars..." She asked, leaning against the door to push it open, apparently rather heavy. Maybe Rachel was just a weakling, which was in fact a far more logical idea. "I'd let you out but I think my brother would stab me with a toasting fork in the eye." She said, gritting her teeth apologetically.Swallow, smile...
He just watched her for a minute, his bue eyes transfixed, his untidy hair falling into his eyes as he rested his hands on his knee, like a dropped pile of human limbs. "I'm losing everyone..." He said quietly, his expression still agonisingly sombre. "I lost my wife, my daughter, I'm losing Carmella... All I have left are Rook and Evelyn." He murmured. "And if you touch them..." He moved his eyes to Johnathan for a moment. He didn't need to finish his sentence. He couldn't bring himself to say something that was so Carmella-ish in her presence.I woke with wings from Lucid Dreams
"Thank you, you're a star." She said, returning to the spilt soil. "I bet your boy would have loved it here." She said softly, putting her hand on his for a moment. She smiled, before stnading up as she heard a crash and a yowl, as the chair behind her toppled over, a broken leg of it rolling into the wall as a rather large young cheetah tumbled onto the ground, still batting at her tail and grumbling, seemingly oblivious to her attempts to destroy the garden furniture. "Then again..." She rolled her eyes, shaking her head in despair.

She takes me away to that special place Jamie's smile grew wider. "Music and Gossip, Please" she said, her tail wagging more frequently. She understood Rachel and what she said about her brother. She nodded, showing that she understood what Rachel was saying.
We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes Johnathan held his hands up in a surrender fashion. "I won't" he said, a small smile on his face even in this situation. Putting his hands down to his side he looked at Jack. "unless she gets in the way then something will have to be done" he added, his face becoming blank again.
Don't look into my eyes to look into my heart... Yami nodded, a smile on his face. "Yeah he would of. He would have been 9 this year" he said, the small smile a mask of his true feelings, his eyes showed that the memories of his dead boy still haunted him. He was distracted when Evelyn broke the chair and was still batting at her tail. He began to laugh at Evelyn's attempts at destroying the garden.

Rachel disappeared around the doorframe, digging around in the pile of magazines to find a few that seemed right, digging out the NME, SmashHits and Grazia, which were the first to hand. A bit of everything. She didn't exactly know Jamie's musical tastes. She flicked through the NME as she headed back to the cage-room, before looking up, smiling as she closed the topmost and passed them through the bars. "Hope these are okay, it's a state in there." she said, rolling her eyes.Swallow, smile...
"Unless she is of some threat to you, you mean?" He said, raising his eyebrows. "So you plan to keep her caged like an animal?" He grumbled his eyes turning back to Carmella as her eyelids twitched, but nothing happened. She was just comatosed... occasionally nerve-endings firing off here, there or wherever, causing the odd twitch. Probably some sort of erratic dream, colours and shapes... there wouldn't be enough to give her a full hallucinogenic dream.I woke with wings from Lucid Dreams
"Okay, right that's it..." Rook sighed, grabbing Evie by the scruff and dragging her back into the corner. "Sit still and beha- OW!" She retracted her arm quickly, two little fang-marks now present where Evie had grabbed her arm, probably not in a threatening way but it drew blood nonetheless. She pressed her thumb over the cuts, frowning. Evie shuffled back into the corner, her head low. "Bugger..." Rook frowned, her hand now clamped over her arm. Mind you, she couldn't help but laugh.

She takes me away to that special place Jamie took the magazines from Rachel politely. "Thanks" she said as she glanced at the front covers of the three magazines. She took the NME magazine and opened it, glancing through it. "It's been ages since I've read this magazine" she commented about the NME magazine she was now reading.
We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes "Unless she is a threat the other people's safety and you could include my own." he said, a frown appearing on his face as Jack looked at him, raising his eyebrows. "It's only USASI protocall. She will be in a cage just like any other experiment" he said, stuffing his hands into his trouser pockets.
Don't look into my eyes to look into my heart... Yami stopped laughing when Rook tried to scold her daughter. Hearing Rook alarmed and retracting her arm from Evie he rushed towards her. "Are you alright?" he asked, concerned just like anyone would be. He looked at Evie, a frown on his face, showing his disapproval. "Evie..." he said, his voice low and with a slight growl to his voice, trying to scold her even though it wasn't his place.

"Really?" Rachel frowned, leaning back against the frame of the cage door once more, careful this time not to fall through. "I get it delivered... along wth um... New Scientist and Your Horse but if you want I could pass it on to you, if you're still around." She said, shrugging. She didn't mind, she usually ended up scribbling on them at the end of every week anyway. She lifted her right foot, examining the blood around the rim of her white boot, still rather perturbed by it's presence in such a collosal amount.
"So what's it like then? Having something else's DNA?" She asked, lowering her foot again leaving a bloody print on the cool concrete.Swallow, smile...
"Somehow I think you can only blame yourself if you think she may now be a threat to you..." He said, raising his eyebrows. "Since you threatened to lock her in a cage and then filled her with bullets." He said, running a hand through his untidy hair again, his fringe now even more unkempt than it had been before.I woke with wings from Lucid Dreams
"Yeah, it ain't bad." She said, sniffing as she watched him scold her daughter, Evie's head sinking far lower on her shoulder, her tail flicking round to curl over her nose as she sunk down to the ground, curling into a ball as she sniffed, hiding under her own paws, tail and silvery wings. "She doesn't quite know her own strength at the moment, she's grown so much recently." She said rolling her eyes, lifting her hand up to show to two puncture wounds.

She takes me away to that special place "Thanks, that would be great" she smiled, her face beaming as Rachel offered to lend her her NME magazine every week after she had read it.
"It's kind of cool" she said, answering Rachel's question about having something else's DNA. "I think I've got border collie and Japanese Akita DNA" she added, twitching her ears and flicked her tail.
We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes He frowned, furrowing his brows. "I only gave the order to shoot at her when she transformed into her werewolf form and was charging at me and the guards" he said, his voice sheathed with anger as he started at Jack with his cold hazel eyes.
Don't look into my eyes to look into my heart... He nodded, she was right, Evie had grown quickly and underestimates her own strength. Squatting down in front of Evie he looked at her. "Evie. Just be careful, Ok?" he said, his voice it's usual placid and calm to try and calm Evie. He stayed there, waiting for her to nod or something. A small smile on his face to ease her a little bit more.

"wow, all the canines." Rachel said grinning, brushing her untame hair out of her face. "It sounds pretty awesome, to be honest." she said, picking at the white cotton hem of her t-shirt. "I'm kind of stuck as the go-for here." She shrugged, continuing to pick.Swallow, smile...
"She transformed... shit..." He said, frowning. "What did you say to her to wind her up that much?" He asked, his expression now dark and increasingly angry. She was still perfectly silent, unmoving. She would be for a while, he guessed, until her immune system could re-group and work again. It was pretty destructive, what they had done to her/I woke with wings from Lucid Dreams
"Yu-huh..." Evie muttered, shrinking further into the corner. "Sorry." She said, ever-so-quietly, in tiny little mouse-words that really didnt quite make sense. "That's okay." Rook said quietly, ignoring her forearm now. She had become somewhat immune to pain, the amount of times they had stabbed her, shot her, bitten her, laccerated her and done god-knows what to her insides with chemicals and enzymes. She just didn't react any more.

She takes me away to that special place "It is sort of cool when you can transform into them" she said, turning the page of the magazine that was in her hand. She glanced up to look at Rachel, a smile still on her face. "Yep, all canines but at least I can blend in when I get out of here" she said, glancing back down at the magazine.
We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes "I didn't wind her up. I just mentioned Rook and Evie and she snapped" he said, leaving bits out and twisting the truth like he normally did. He didn't like Jack's face, it showed increased anger and he definitely knew it would be a sure sign of trouble. He just hoped he didn't get punched in the face again.
Don't look into my eyes to look into my heart... His smile grew wider. "Thanks better. Now come out of that corner, there isn't any need to be there no more" he said, standing up. "Go give your mother a hug" he said as he started to laugh, walking away from Evie to give her some space.

"Yeah, that's always good." Rachel laughed, ruffling her hair to make it look extra-untidy. "You'd be screwed if you were like... an elephant. Bungling down the road like a fool." She said, grimacing at the thought. "You wanna be something small so you can get out of the way, surely."Swallow, smile...
Jack frowned. Why did he find that so hard to believe? "Yeah, what did you really say?" He said, glancing back at Carmella's form for a moment, torn between confusion and downright denial. He looked back at Johnathan, clearly with no doubt that there was something else behind what had been done. Part of him really, really didn't want to know.I woke with wings from Lucid Dreams
Evie got to her feet, shifting human as she did with a sniffle as she wandered over to Rook, and put her arms around her, as Rook lifted her onto her hip to keep her there. She really was getting rather big for this sort of thing now. "Wow... do you want to keep her forever?" Rook said, somewhat flabberghasted at how good Yami was with the girl. "You're great with kids." she said with a smile, Evie now sniffling into her bare arm and nodding off. Destroying the garden was tiring stuff when in all honesty you are still only a baby. A toddler at the most.

Duncan whined and growled, shoving at Alec's chest, wriggling under the heavier male. He wanted to be the one on top, not the one pinned. He wasn't tempted to doing something spontanous if he wasn't allowed up soon.

Claws clicked on tiled flooring as Jo made her way along the maze of lab corridors. Jase had suddenly walked off in the middle of their conversation and Jo hadn’t cared to follow him. She wasn’t heading back the way she had come, as she could scent there were people now moving along those corridors. So, now she crashed her way blindly through the lab. Her eyes were narrowed so much that she could barely see out of them, she was muttering words that would make a sailor blush under her breath, her tail lashed from side to side violently. She was completely fuming. How dare he, just, how dare he. She was most angry that she hadn’t had the chance to get in some come backs to his mocking voice, namely pin him to the ground and dig her fangs into his flesh. After a while of getting herself even more worked up she turned a corner, at the end of the corridor was a medical research room. Her eyes narrowed even further as she made a bee-line towards the room.
She stepped into the room and looked around, the sides were covered in shelves and the shelves were stacked with beakers, test tubes, books and needles. In the centre of the room was an injection chair, with leather straps on the arms and the legs. By the side of the room was a desk and filing cabinet. A growl pulsated through her body before she suddenly lunged at the shelves. Her body crashing against the wall, the sound of breaking glass ringing through the room, Jo leapt back, her claws outstretched as she leapt onto the chair, her teeth connecting with the leather and pulling it apart easily. Black leather and white stuffing soon joined the broken glass on the floor before Jo moved on to the other shelves, her jaw clashing at anything it connected with, clamping down on a needle, tiny pieces of glinting glass cutting up the inside of her mouth.
But she didn’t care as the floor was soon smothered in fabric, glass, papers, wood, metal and blood. The wild dog didn’t care what she got her teeth on, or how much it hurt, as the frenzy forced her to push her body forward and bite the desk, a crack running down the middle of the furniture, her back legs kicking out to send the chair crashing against the other wall, smashing it into pieces. She spun around and leapt at the wall, swinging her neck to force all the items on the shelf off of the side, the glass shattering as soon as it connected with the floor. Her paws pushed off the side of the wall and found themselves landing on the broken glass littering the floor. Her fur and skin was horribly cut up as she got her teeth on the last in tact item in the room. The filing cabinet fell to the ground with a loud crash, Jo jumping backwards as the thing teetered over, sending up a shower of glass and papers. The wild dog now stood still, her body heaving at each breath she took. Her emerald green eyes closed for a moment as she felt blood dripping down her body and falling onto the floor, there were numerous cuts all over her body from the glass around.
Her paws had been the biggest to be damaged, the pads were completely red with blood now with shards of glass stuck into them. Her front left leg wasn’t touching the ground as a large piece of jagged glass stuck out of her shoulder. The room was destroyed, nothing was left in tact, it was clear that Jo was far from in tact. Her mind spun as her legs gave up on her, she crumpled to the ground, her ears back, her body beginning to shiver as shock took over. She just had to take that anger out on something, and she couldn’t risk it being a person, even Jase. So she took it out on the room, and herself. Blood began to puddle around her as her body deflated, laying flat and listless on the ground, surrounded by the destruction. If she had been in her human form she would be in seriously worse shape, thankfully her wild dog form was hardy, but she still needed serious medical attention and soon.

[shadow=lightblue,left,300] The Truth Hurts [/shadow] [shadow=red,left,300] Tori Burtton [/shadow] They had gone their separate ways. Indi had peeled off from Skyler’s side after their rocky conversation. The spring skies were relatively clear today for the city of angels. The evening air was pleasantly warm and blew a gentle breeze. An orange and fuschia sunset radiated against the downtown horizon casting long and grotesque shadows over the pavement. What a gorgeous day it turned out to be. The elk-boy walked along side the beach houses eyes watching the ocean, and ears listening to the wind in the palms. He sighed, he wasn’t successful in lifting his friend’s spirits and it nagged him. He meandered around for a bit, with no where to go. At last the sun melted behind the waves and darkness came into a free fall… It was the third avenue down from the beach path and then there was those alley ways. Dark, and ominous with its opportunistic blind spots. His lounging stroll turned into a brisk pace. His head tilted back at the sky framed by roof tops and clothing lines. The atmosphere had now turned black and dark indigo. The few stars that managed to break through the flood of city lights sparkled dimly. The moon was nothing, but a white sliver in the sky, smiling down like the Cheshire cat. The wind was gone, and it was deathly silent. He thought he could hear the claws of rats and the cooing of resting pigeons. Then the roar of crickets all fiddling their own song mashed into a symphonic hum. During the day the heart LA was a very different place, and at night you best be locking your doors. Shadows crept along these narrow streets, blacker than midnight itself. The figure was nearly invisible as it hurdled without a sound through the maze. All that could be seen were two aqua eyes that raced towards and past. Skyler felt the air stir around his bare calves and peered around for the disturbance. Maybe it had been an air vent. He felt his heart beat faster the small startle a good reminder this was not good place to be. He could see the rotting restaurant sign coming slowly closer the faster he went. He was now within several yards and felt he would make it, from whatever this imaginary chase was. Arms slithered over his shoulders and around his neck. Skyler chuckled and smiled. “Nice try Indi. Twice is a charm…Indi?” The person behind him slowly began to tighten its grip and pressure began to gradually build. “Indi-- Okay this isn’t funny….oww that hurts...” the boy’s eyes widened, pupils narrowing the jackal-boy was really going to kill him this time. “I’m just kidding… a little fun don’t hurt anybody…Skyler,” said a mockingly toxic voice that whispered into his ear. Then like a python excited by its prey it squeezed with every ounce of its muscle. It finally hit him this wasn’t his companion but a real threat. He let out a terrified hollow cry for help, and struggled, hands yanking furiously at the female’s arms and they did not budge or even flinch. “Does this seem oddly familiar to you?” the voice asked easily holding the adrenaline filled male that was trying at the height of his best to break away. The boy’s feet lifted off the ground, legs kicking madly body writhing like a hooked fish. Then that horrible feeling of choking reached him, heart and lungs pumping madly for breath, and his stomach churned with the rawness of fear. The experienced attacker stood with legs spread avoiding the jerking feet, and kept her entire body ridged. Tori gripped Skyler for about a minute before his movement began to subside. His head fell to one side resting on the alpha’s shoulder, eyes barely open. “Aww, shhhh. Best lullaby ever, always puts the kids to sleep,” she said, taking a hand and cupped the elk-boy’s cheek in a endearing way. Her lips then wrenched into an eerie smirk, then her clawed fingers plunged into his jaw and she ran ever so tenderly across his cheek. She inhaled deeply the smell of fresh scarlet blood like the fragrance of a rose to her olfactory systems. Tori laid her prize against the wall, taking a moment to tuck her obsidian hair behind her ears and brush herself off. Hunting in the concrete jungle so far was the most exhilarating. She picked him up and pulled the experiment into a fireman’s carry to the lab. “Follow the yellow brick road,” she sang.

Zack was blissfully unaware of the amount of upset his kiss had brought. He hadn’t seen Jay and Rook rush from the beach as fast as their wings would carry them. He didn’t know too much about Will’s history, especially his romantic history. He knew that Will had a kid, but he had never asked who the mother was or thought all that much about it, really. He had met Rook once before, when Lilith had shot him full of holes, Rook was the one who patched him up, pretty much saved his life. If he had known she was on the beach he certainly would have thought twice about making a move on Will. But for now his dark brown eyes were closed and he was just enjoying the feeling of their lips pressed against one another. It felt like they had been like this for nearly a week, but in reality it was only a minet or so. A growl rolled through his body as he broke the kiss, his leopard version of a purr. His tongue ran along his lips, taking in the boy’s taste, he grinned at Will, leaning back on his palms as he blocked out the jeers that came their was from the group of youths.

Cassandra frowned at Lee, what he said seriously perplexed her, that was until Lance seemed to reacted rather badly to what the Irish man had said. Cassandra watched silently, that was until Lance’s fist suddenly swung at Lee. Her eyebrow shot up and her lips twitched. It was hard to tell if she was about to laugh, smile or sneer at Lee, or glare murderously at Lance. But it was the boy’s words that stopped her from instantly reacting. She blinked, a deep frown creasing her brow. She shook her head lightly. “Lee, it’s not nice to antagonise the experiments,” her voice came out mockingly, in her mind Lee had only done this to get at Lance. Cassandra had come across many experiments that had lost their mothers, or who had been adopted from a baby. None of those times before had made her think about the baby she had given up and this time didn’t twig in her mind either. After all, why would the kid have her surname if he was her kid? Surely he would have had his fathers name? No, Cassandra was completely oblivious to the fact that those comments were aimed at both of them.
She did however pull out her gun and point it at Lance. “Hurt him again and you’ll have a bullet through your skull,” her voice was calm and deadly serious. Not the normal, trigger happy response she would normally give, this one was different. This time she was actually thinking about someone other then herself, I know, gob smacking ain’t it!

The wolf girl had padded after the two males as they walked down past various shops, exchanging words. Indi still seemed pretty upset. She chuckled a bit, that sounded more like a deep bellow in her wolf form. She felt the sandy breeze stir the fur on her pelt, grinning at the oft, warm feeling. She could have fallen asleep right there, but followed Skyler instead. She wasn't going to approach him, just shadow after the boy. A grimace spread over her maw as she saw him turn into the alley. Many times alleys has chosen to attack her, close to the hideout or not. Hesatating at first, the teen stepped into the shadows after him, an uneasy feeling in her stomache. Hadn't he felt it, too? She shook her head, jumping to the conclusion of paranoia. Kaitey felt her upper lip twitch up, almost forming a soft snarl. On the nape of her neck, hackles rose and the rest of her fur bristled. What was going on? She felt a distant wind disturb her layed pelt, shuddering a bit. None of this was going to turn out very well. The femme relaxed a bit seeing the safety of the restaraunt in the small spaced distance. And then she couldn't see him. Well she could, but there was somebody in the way of seeing him. Golden optics narrowed as a snarl bubbled from her throat. She crept to the side, never relaxing, as she saw both of them. SOme new Alpha, and Skyler's false accusations of this stranger for Indi. Her tail raised high in defense, and her teeth bared. A low growl bellowing in her chest, but she didn't reveal herself. If the Alpha was trained she'd know that Kaitey was there. As the Alpha's voice spoke, she felt a cold chill send shudders down her spine. As he cried out for help Kaitey automatically felt herself take small steps forwards, but only moving a few inches. She cringed as she saw his feet lift off of the ground, eyes hard with fury and fear now. And then she saw blood. Not her own, not the alpha's. But Skylers. A small ,quick, accidental yelp escaped her bared teeth, eyes widened. Sure, it happened to her all the time. But it was so different to see it happen to someone else. The popping sound of skin breaking made her shudder, before the fury conquered again. A deeper, more threatening growl now, but she realized the stranger had just skipped off like she had gotten a prize. And as she had done the whole day, she followed.

A lanky blonde hopped over the fence surrounding the lab, her golden skin glinting, she had just misted herself to keep hydrated. She had heard someone in the alleyways close by and was going to see, to scare them off or bring them in. Her sunglasses went flying and a curse parted from her lips. She darted for them and picked them up , sliding them back on.
Her ears pricked as the foot steps continued.

Will, just like Zack, had been completely oblivious to the two eyes that had fallen on them. One he probably wouldn't minded anyway, due to being unaware of any feeling the other may have held. Had he known Rook had been in the nearby vicinity he would have reigned in his darn libido. But right now, all he could do was relish in the almost forgotten feeling over another's warm lips pressed against his own. Firm to determine a male's lips but soft with experience and Will's tongue curiously brushed the other's lower lip just to really taste the other male and his lips tingled from the gentle pressure. He drew back, lips flushed and freshly kissed as he brushed his tongue over them, a small grin curling the edges of his lips. "Y'know, since they stayed and watched and seem oddly interested in our kissing, you'd think they were gay as well" he smirked, his voice loud enough for the jeering boys to hear clearly, a devilish glint in his eyes. ---------------------------------------------------- A frown had creased Lee, obviously baffled by the sudden aggressive response from the experiment, his eyes widened slightly, but didn't attempt to rile the teenager further by retaliating with aggression of his own or even defending himself. Lee wasn't a fighter, he didn't have the skill to do so, not that he was unfit (Several people could confirm that). But he didn't flinch, didn't back away, he allowed the fist to connect with his jaw, eyes shut at the impact and his jaw clenched as the pain pulsed up his cheek. Luckily the punch wasn't enough to cause him to stagger backwards, so kept his feet firmly planted on the ground. Damn that would bruise. Taking a steadying breath, he reached out a hand and calmly placed it on the barrel of the gun and with silent, restrained, but noticeable strength, gently forced her to lower it. "It seems you two may be oblivious to such a thing, but I wasn't mocking you, Cassandra, is your mother, hit me again and I won't let you off lightly like I will now" there was a contained intensity in his voice which backed up his threat. He could and would punish the experiment if he lashed out again, despite his attempts to avoid conflict with the Alpha Unit or experiments, sometimes it couldn't be avoided and he wasn't willing to put his well being in harms way for an experiment that had parental issues. If the fact Cassandra was defending someone else was shocking, Lee, right now was damn right astounding. He seemed to have matured greatly, he held a power of sorts, in his stance, his calm, calculating gaze, he seemed to demand attention and authority without outright demanding it like Cassandra did, through fear, gun and violence.
