"All set?" Gage asked the group of boys and men before leaving. They all gave a hearty cheer, then set off on their predetermined routes to the jewelry store. Not only was it stupid to travel in one giant group, it was easier to make a break for it once the police arrived if everyone split up. It was a bit out of the way, but no worthwhile store was in their part of the city. Running alongside one another, both Gage and Kyrie were the first to make it to the shop. Everyone else was supposed to stay out of sight, at least, until the signal was given.
Once in sight of the building, the duo slowed to a casual gait. Entering the store as if they were paying customers, Kyrie began oggling the mountains of gold and precious stones. Pressing her nose against the glass case nearest her, she stared down eagerly at a beautiful golden locket in the shape of a heart. The sales clerk smiled, (if not a little wary of the strangeness of the two,) and walked over to Gage, hoping to make a sale.
"What can I get for you today, sir?" The clerk asked in overly sweet tones. Gage glanced over to Kyrie. "Whatcha lookin' at, Ky-Ky?" Gage called over to his partner. The clerk shuddered at the lack of properness in the pair's manners, but said nothing. "A necklace." Kyrie replied, her eyes glued to the object. Gage chuckled, then returned his attention to the sales clerk. "Lemme see whatever it is she's lookin' at, yeah?" With another delicate shudder, the clerk went behind the counter and produced the brilliant locket Kyrie had fallen in love with.
"And how much is that little trinket?" Gage asked. "Two-hundred dollars, sir." Gage acted as though he was in deep thought about the sale, then reached down into his pocket. "Ah, darnit. I left my wallet in the car. You wouldn't mind watchin' Ky-Ky for a minnit', would 'ya?" The clerk shook his head and smiled.
Once outside, Gage gave a sharp whistle, then strolled back into the building. "Sorry to say, but I don't have the cash flow." Gage grinned, baring his fangs in a mischievous way. "I'm sure we can work something out, though!" The boy used the ball of his raptor-like foot to break open a glass case, just as the first of his men began to pour into the building. The sales clerks were in shock, but were able to alert the authorities before the gang had them tied up.
Through a process of smashing, collecting, and threatening the few customers to stay on the floor, the gang had the place cleaned out in a matter of minutes. Though, unfortunately, that was too long. Sirens were blaring, and flashing lights were shining through the windows. With another sharp whistle, the lot of thieves poured out of the back door just as easily as they came in.
Splitting up into their separate ways, everyone made a mad dash back to the safehouse. Long routes and heavy sacks of jewelry wasn't easy to keep up with while running though. "C'mon, Ky-Ky! Ya gotta... Go faster!" Gage called to the girl who was straining with her share of the loot. The boy saw she was having trouble, ran back, and bent over. "Get on!" He ordered. "But-" Kyrie didn't want to be a burden. "Now! Before they get us!" The boy was normally patient, but not so when their lives were on the line. The girl obeyed and clambered onto Gage's back. Lugging three sacks of gold and one girl was tough, but Gage was just that. Tough.
Sirens were coming nearer, they had to hurry. Gage began to sprint towards the safehouse. It seemed as though the police had given up their chase, when a police car pulled out in front of the two. "Damn it!" Gage cursed, skidding to a stop and turning. Kyrie was having a difficult time hanging on without choking the boy as he ran. Detours were never a good idea. That meant a longer way home, more time for the police to catch up, and less time for Gage to catch his breath.
Dodging yet another car, it seemed as though they were hot on his trail. The boy ducked down into a narrow alley, then down another. This part of town was different, Gage had no idea where he was headed. "There, up ahead!" What looked to be an old resteraunt was up ahead. The boy dove behind the corner of the place, accidently throwing Kyrie down in the process. She landed with a soft, "Oomph." The police cars sped by, not noticing they had lost the theives.
"You okay?" Gage panted, looking over to Kyrie. His chest burned, his sides ached, and he would be willing to trade his loot for a jug of water. Kyrie nodded, more concerned about her friend's condition, rather than her own. "Wait... I know where we are..." The girl narrowed her eyes, trying to recall why this particular building was so familiar.

The fabric upon his shoulders rubbed annoying against his skin as Skyler shifted his arm. Adjusting his own shoulders while rolling the blades to a more comfortable position, he sighed. Skyler's words reminded him of a past, and very awkward conversation with Will. Who had threatened to take him to the vets and get him neutered/sprayed if he ever decided to have sex before he was eighteen? Indi couldn't recall. Limping inelegantly for a moment, as a sudden blunt aching spread around his abdomen. It wasn't long though till Indi's gate became normal. Nose twitched, the Jackal-boy felt oddly watched. Hairs brisling up his spine and a shudder finding his person.
Catching movement at the sides of his eyes, Indi turned his head to have his sky blue eyes meet with the down to earth greens of Skyler's. Heaven and Earth, to opposing elements. How fitting for their clashing personalities. Though perhaps Indi should have been gifted with eyes are green as moss for Skyler would only fit better among the clouds with his name being already part of it. He didn't have long to ponder over this for the other male's voice flashed in his mind.
" Who says I'm /Grumpy/? Are you speaking from personal experiences?"
A cold breeze filled the blonde as Skyler removed his arm. Taking with it all the blue-eyed boys warmth. And then the question he didn't want to be asked. Pale white teeth started to press lightly against his lower lip. He couldn't betray his brother could he... And tell Skyler of all people. Stopping all together, he starred at the ground for what seemed like forever. But in reality only a few seconds. Nodding as Skyler told his own problems, Indi at last came to a conclusion.
" Yeah sure... Ummm. Before we do... Nevermind... I will. Arg. Nothing, it's nothing."
Maybe he would explain later, when he had a pen and paper. Because technically he wouldn't be /telling/. Glancing nervously over his shoulder, Indi then started walking again. Something creepy lingered in the air, he could feel it.

If the world knew him for his voice, and if there were no mirrors the name Skyler would fit like a key and a lock. He had a buoyant attitude, and seemed so carefree like a eagle on the wind with no where to go. If anything, he strived to remain blithe and climb heights no matter what had put him down. Down on earth there may be wind, there may be rain. But if you let yourself over come those obstacles there is sunshine over the clouds, always. Sometimes he didn’t understand the some of the other experiments which had gone to hell and back. Why couldn’t they turn their heads and look ahead and above. All they seemed to fear was their past, take Indi for example. Yes, he himself had lost his family, yet he had made powerful and the most meaningful friends. What about that? To Skyler, the person most tied to the ground with their face in the dirt was Indi. Unfortunately the illusion of hues, distorted what was on the inside. “I said so. Last time we talked on the beach, you seemed down and out about something or another, remember? And before that we tried to kill each other…good times. But I suppose you’re not grumpy /all/ the time,” he said absently kicking a rock into the street. He twisted his lip, noticing Indi hadn’t taken the arm around the shoulders as well as he hoped.
Skyler merely bobbed his head in a dismissing manner, when Indi had given him the empty answer. He wouldn’t press Indi about it- inless it was something fun like a new girl in the picture. “It’s a-okay with me. So you going to be around for a while, or are you going to drop by, say hi, and then south or bust on us again? I was going to ask a buddy to come with me to the board walk in Santa Monica, and go on a few rides. Now that my antlers are short I won’t be a safety hazard. Thought maybe…you and I could hang out more. Everyone seems to be spreading out. You know me, I was never a lone wolf,” suggested the elk-boy with a small gentle grin. He did want somebody to hang with, and he wanted to try and get Indi out of this strange phase of his. Maybe some fun would take his mind off whatever it was. Maybe he could even get Briana and Kaitey along, so they could spend simple time together as, ‘just friends’. Nothing special.
The darker male’s ears perked in interest. “What about…the surf shop? We could look at some cool boards. You know Indi, you’d make a good looking surfer. Blonde, blue eyes. Dude, you could be like thy icon. Bet you could be a chick magnet…or look there’s a frozen yogurt pla- They have a comic book store here?! I didn’t know there was one!” he said leaving Indi’s side and peeking into the window with eager eyes. He looked back at the jackal-boy, he knew this might not be his cat’s meow. “Any of this strike your fancy?” he asked, knowing he could come back here on his own another time. “Or…we could just go home-- to the restaurant.”

"Gunshots, what the hell?" She raised an eyebrow, scooping the ice cream back off the table as she dug at it, picking chocolate chips out of her braces with her tongue. "Inside, that's mental." She said, rolling her eyes. "As is smoking, open a window or I'll cough in your face." She smirked, not really keen on having her asthma flare up. The thought of gunfire wasn't really Rachel's idea of a good time... and to be honest she was becoming rather uncomfortable with the whole situation. Mind you, when it came to succeeding she had to be as good as Johnathan, to prove she could do it. If she dropped out now it would just be another nail in the coffin... As much as it unnerved her.

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes Johnathan took a drag out of his cigarette and sighed when he exhaled, taking the smoke out. "It's normal to have gunfire at these places" he said, explaining to her. He looked at her, his eyes baring down on her. "You open the window if you're that bothered" he said, taking another drag out of fag with his inhale and exhaled the smoke. Smoking was a bad habit of his, he started smoking when he was in University, he started smoking because of all the stress.

"Oh great, so there's guns going off everywhere and you're a lazy sod that won't open the window." She rolled her eyes, getting to her feet as she pushed open the window, wafting the smoke with a nibbled hand. "Who got shot then? And why the hell?" Rachel asked, grabbing back the big comfy chair behind the desk before Johnathan could even think about it, swinging back in the leather as she balanced her heels back on the desk. "And... you shouldn't smoke anyway cause it's gonna cock up your lungs and they'll go all black and you'll die..." she said, her eyes widening as she annunciated the final word dramatically, unable to keep a straight face as she grinned.

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes "That is none of your concern, Rachel" he said watching Rachel sit in the chair and put her feet up on the desk. He sighed. "It's a bad habit and when did you start sounding like mother anyway?" he asked, his eyes were cold as he looked at her, trying to scold her without words. He rolled his eyes when she dramatically said 'die' and just started to grin. /She's not my sister.../ he thought looking the other way as he finished his cigarette.

"Since I started to get old, why?" She said, raising an eyebrow as she ran her thumb over her newest ink, the tattoo sketched onto her neck. She knew better than to ask questions on things that were none of her concern, and she didn't exactly want to end up with a bullet in the head or something similarly nasty. "Actually, please don't say I sound like mum that's bad." She frowned, scratching her neck finally before picking up the ice cream again, digging around at the last of the delicious chocolate, running a tongue over her teeth again to pick up anything left, wedged there in her braces. She lifted her feet down from the desk, knowing it was probably a bad idea and that to bait her brother could possibly end up with her on a plane back to north wales, having to do real work instead of galavanting around the world playing with genes.

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes Johnathan docked the fag out on the table and threw the but end in the make-shift ash tray what is actually a pen tray. He leaned back in his chair some more. "How's Elizabeth anyway?" he asked, his voice changed when he said their mother's name, his voice showed he was annoyed. "I haven't seen her since..." he said trying to think of the last time he saw them. "Oh yeah. Last Christmas" he said after a couple of moments of pure thought.

"Still alive. You know we had that epic falling out, since I failed my exams again and she got all annoyed..." She said, waving her hand in the air. "Apart from that she's good. Still insane. Still spending all of Dad's money on horses, dogs and shotguns." She said with a smirk, picking up the empty ice-cream tub, oscilating slowly in the leatherback chair and dropping it into the bin from a height, keeping the spoon in her teeth.
"Which is fair enough at least she's not spending it on plastic surgery and... crap." Rachel shrugged, continuing to oscilite, propelled by her feet now pidgeon-toed on the floor as she removed the spork, aiming to throw it onto the table-top, only to see it skid across the surface and into her open shopping bag on the other side. "Result." She laughed, grinning.

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes Johnathan sighed. "I guess she started ranting on about. 'Oh, Why can't you be as good as your brother. He got into the Imperial'" he said, mimicking his mother, he was good at the odd one or two impersonations especially when he impersonated his mother. He glanced at Rachel and chuckled, standing up from his large leather chair. "I think I should give you a little tour around this place. Meet a few people?" he asked, looking down at her.

Rachel grinned. "Yeah, summink like that. She's annoyed that I'm going to be mahoosively far away and... at Aberystwyth not somewhere fantastic." She said, rolling her eyes. It was always the way. "I just told her to shut up and go away and Oh Dear Lord she actually did." She said, giving a rather maniacal display of jazz-hands before she got to her feet, running a hand through her layered hair. "A tour would be good, yeah. Like a little nerdy school trip..." She said, clicking her tongue against her teeth. Everyone had their bad habits. "I get the feeling this place is enormous."

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes Johnathan smiled then it vanished as he walked to wards the door. "You could say it will be nerdy" he said, ignoring her bad habit. "And this place is enormous" he added, walking through the door and continued to walk down the corridor. He didn't know where to start. Maybe see Jack Lancet?

Memories are the weights, my future is the river Michael’s eyes drifted from the canine back to the floor, slowing his sobbing breathing, his ears raising slightly, every time she took a step closer swivelling to listen to the light footstep. What was she doing? Well, other than continuing to jump when he spoke. He turned his gaze to the dingo again to see her closer now, his rather soft blue gaze finally noticing the whitened fur, almost making it look like the dog had been shaved there and the fur was growing back. He was puzzled by her actions, unsure of the way she was acting. Was it to unnerve him? He decided against asking her, instead focusing his gaze on the floor in front of him, confused by the way she was acting, knowing that if he kept watching her he would only get more puzzled. A small shiver ran over his body, the cold seeping in through his damp clothing, closing his eyes. It would have most likely been a better to go inside the moment this happened, but all he wanted to do was stay in the rain, away from life. He was still shivering as he brought his limbs closer to himself. He was being an idiot staying out in weather like this, feeling the rain getting heavier. Just marvellous. He opened his eyes to glance towards Sin again, ears perked upon his head curiously

She followed quietly, the only sound echoing from her white boots clicking on the floor. Her blue eyes scanned the walls for a moment as she traced along behind her elder brother, her fingertips playing with the hem of her white t-shirt. If she had enough confidence, she would have hung back a bit, and porbably done the most epic knee or sock-skid along one of these corridors. It would have to wait a while, it seemed, else she would probably be in deep shit. Which is never fun.
"What's the first port of call, then, brav?" She asked, flicking her fringe out of her eyes as she clicked along after him, standing not that much shorter in these boots. They were, give or take an inch, rather similarly proportioned.

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes He sighed, halting to look at his younger sister, his cold hazel glaze hardening as he stared at her. "First rule. Don't call me 'Brav" when we are in company either here at the lab or outside work. Got it?" he said, arching a brow at her. After a couple of moments he continued to walk down the corridor. "I think we could go see Dr. Jack Lancet first" he said, stuffing his hands into his trouser pockets.

Rachel shrugged, scratching her forearm nonchalantly. "Fair enough, I'll call you Johnny-boy and you can deal with it." She laughed, pushing her fringe back out of her eyes again. "Jokes." She added, before he could turn on her. "And who's Dr Lancet? He sounds like a villain from a 1930s hammer horror film..." She rolled her eyes, padding along still beside her brother like an obedient pet.Swallow, smile...
Someone had been in and cleaned up the glass, since he had been missing, and a fresh stack of reports on health and disease had been dumped on his desk. Not that it bothered Jack much, he had better things to be doing like... drinking coffee and watching A Question Of Sport. He had the little LCD screen propped in the corner of his room as he idly scribbled his way through the blindingly obvous symptoms, eyes flicking from the telly to the CCTV monitor, the square in the very bottom corner focussed on contained recovery, where they had Carmella. According to notes, she was still dangerous. She still had to be contained, even though she was comatosed. Only armed guards were allowed contact right now. Which was horrible to endure.

We see the shadows that are falling from your eyes He shot a glare at her when he heard her say 'Johnny-boy'. Oh how he hated that nickname. He sighed, rolling his eyes as she said 'jokes'. "Dr. Lancet is the general practitioner here at this lab." he said, not giving her any details of what had happened earlier today. He still had his blood-stained shirt on even though there was only little drops of blood on his whit shirt.
He stopped in front of Lancet's office door. He looked at the closed door before walking to wards it and opened to door, walking inside and glanced over his shoulder to see if Rachel followed.

"GP? Okay..." She said, frowning slightly as she stuck her head round the door after Johnathan, not really that astonished by what she saw, which seemed to be someone not doing very much work and drinking rather a lot of coffee.Swallow, smile...
Jack bothered to look up for a moment, his chin resting on his hand as he caught Johnathan's eye, before he looked away again, his gaze at rest on the LCD screen, eyes flicking from time to time to the static figure in the recovery room. "Go away, Cartwright, I'm busy..." he said monotonously as he dunked a custard creme into his coffee mug.
