Jay blinked, leaning against the wall. No gun, no shots, not even a threat? Wow... He was surprised, but the only thing that revealed it was a blink. Not knowing how to react he shrugged and drawled, "Wanted to make sure you guys wouldn't send out a search party. I was gone all night."

♰ Ah so Indi was right. Duncan? Dream? So those were the names of the two kids who were new editions to the family. He mad ea quick mental note to avoid Duncan till Indi was sure he could keep his composer around smaller kids. Seeing as the bandaging around Will’s tail and hands were a clear sign pain would follow with the child. Indi nodded as Will enlightened him about how to properly deal with Duncan. Wow this kid must be pretty bad if Will’s last nerves were being pushed. Indi was wondering how much Skyler had changed. How would he look now and how would he react to him? When the dragon suddenly was coming for Indi the Jackal couldn’t help but let a surprised yelp escape his lips.
When the dragon was caught and shooed away before it could attach itself to Indi he was thankful. The boy was now eyeing the creatures claws with wide eyes. Those things looked like freaking mini razor blades and most likely hurt like hell. He mouthed ‘ah’ as Will introduced the insane dragon cub as Duncan. Clearly a trouble maker. When Will told him to say Hi Indi shot him a glance that asked if he was insane. But before he could even turn his head he was locked in a bear hug. Indi almost fell over and would have taken Skyler down with him but thankful he was able to keep his balance. Indi hugged Skyler right back taking in a quick wiff of the male’s scent.
“Through hell and back. Eating? Kira had be eating freakin 5 meals a day and wouldn’t let me leave the table until I ate everything. He said I need to balance out my diet….”
Indi was all so looking Skyler from head to toe. He had not changed much at all. Then he playfully raised his hand and flicked Skyler’s antlers. A wide smile was plastered on his lips and had all his off white teeth showing. Now he thought himself silly for getting so worried about what everyone would think of him.

Cassandra blinked. "What, little Jay afraid of the dark all by himself?" her voice making it clear he could be gone for years and she would hardly notice. "Is that all?" she asked, almost board now, she knew Jay was gay so wasn't expecting it to go any further, not that she would say no if it did. Honestly Lee had been such a drag lately she didn’t care about the consequences.

She felt as if she was under the microscope. It was an odd feeling but Sin knew that how most people felt when being closely analyzed. As he stood she stiffened and then told herself to relax. Her body slowly became more calm and collected, yet there was that ridgeness to her which betrayed her defensive nature. When he smiled confusion flashed across her face and she blinked. What was it with guys and there smiles? When he asked if she was an experiment she simply nodded. And then looked away from him for a brief moment to scent the wind. Nothing. Which was odd, but Sin didn’t really care right now. Well actually she never really did care. As long as she was alone she was happy.
“ You?”

"Not all." Jay sighed, bored as well, not going to have the slightest bit of fun with Cassie he saw. "Just checking in." He walked off down the hall and left the building, shifting blue jay and flapped his way back to the restraunt.

Zack nodded, holding his smile firmly on his face, he really did have a ‘melt to your knees’ sort of smile. “Yeah, leopard and nyala,” he said lightly, slowly moving his back from the tree trunk, making his movement slow and fluid, not fast and sudden, as he moved sideways and forward slightly, not actually getting closer to her as he moved forward he moved more outward. “You staying at the hideout? I haven’t seen you before,” he said, trying to make conversation with a girl who said very little. She smelt of the restaurant but he himself had only arrived there about a week ago, so had hardly met anybody.

Skyler laughed, dimples showing on his cheeks. "Well you know too much meat can lead to high cholesterol," he mused playfully shoving the male back, as he flicked his expanse of antlers, that now hurt his neck when he stood for too long. Skyler smirked at the silver haired boy. "Oh hey almost didn't see you," he joked, after devoting his attention on Indi. "So how's Kira?" he asked leaning on the wall and folding his arms, studying Indi. It was hard to look at him, with familiarity, for he had changed dramatically.

She was beginning to trust his distance. His smile was rather dazzling she had to admit but being Sin she was not like that. She didn’t experience physical attraction. You had to have some kind of insane trust with Sin for her to be anywhere near considering to even think of someone in that way. It was just not her mind set. She didn’t think like most people did. She nodded as he told what DNA he was injected with. As he slowly moved forward Sin was instantly judging the distance and his intentions. His movements were careful, he was watching himself. Good. He was kind of forcing her in a way to talk. Something Sin didn’t do often.
“ Yes. I have my own personal room upstairs. As you can probably see why. As of late I have been ‘keeping’ myself there.”
She told him honestly. He smelt ever so slightly of the musky restaurant called home. Her eyes followed him and sharpened each time he moved. She was adjusting herself each time he did. She didn’t let him out of her sight once and keep a careful moderator on the distance between them.
“ Sorry fro falling over you…”

Jo had slowly made her way out of the basement which was where she spent most of her time now. Trading the dark shadows of the alley to the shadows of the basement. Still, she was currently in human form so that was a plus, even if she had just shifted like this so Will didn't get at her, she had been in wild dog form all the time she had been in the basement.
She made her way silently up the stairs, opening the door a crack before hearing a very familiar name. Kira. Her body seemed to freeze, backing up a step so that she was concealed by the shadows, holding her breath for a moment as she waited for Indi's response. Kira, she hadn't seem him in forever. She caught Indi’s scent but couldn’t smell Kira. It wasn’t hard to recognise Indi’s scent once she had heard Kira’s name, otherwise she probably wouldn’t have known it was him, his scent had changed from the vague scent she could remember.

Zack nodded, noticing how carefully Sinner kept her eyes on him and knowing that he was right to be careful about the distance he kept. She seemed happy with him at the distance he was now so he came to a halt and didn’t try to push it by moving closer to her. He just didn’t like the tree being behind him, if he needed to back up any more or anything. Although Zack was being careful he wasn’t feeling too awkward, Zack was a naturally chilled out guy so this didn’t make him as awkward as it would most people. His smile widened slightly as the girl strung together a whole three sentences, it was an improvement. And then he couldn't help himself from chuckling. “Don’t worry about it,” he said lightly, body relaxed as he grinned at her. “Actually happens a fair bit around here,” he added with another small chuckle.

Tammy had changed into the dry clothes in the ladies room and hearing many voices had stayed in the room a bit unsure. She leaned against the wall her wings almost fully dry now. She looked at the mirror over the sink and her breath caught. She touched her face in surprise having not seen herself in a long time in a mirror. "Wow I have changed... My old family would not recognize me."

♰ As Skyler laughed Indi all so did. So laugh was slightly deeper then Skyler’s it had a more almost musical tone to it in which made his voice have a spark to it really. It was something you would never get tired of hearing. As he was shoved back Indi only chuckled. He nodded. He knew. Kira had all but filled him in on that. When he asked about his brother Indi sighed. How was Kira? Busy? Stressed? Happy? Depressed? Indi knew it was killing him that he never said goodbye to Jo but he knew that goodbyes meant not seeing and he just wouldn’t believe he would never see her again.
“ He is now a official surgeon in the hospital of my home town. He is kind of ticked with himself that he left without sayin good bye to anyone. But the man hates sayin goodbye you know? But he is kind of depressed to. He told me the reason he never said goodbye to Jo. Is because Goodbyes mean leaving someone and he didn’t want that. ”
Indi studied Skyler’s body language. Same old same old. Which he was happy to see. Indi just stood as Skyler leaned. He then shot a wide grin at the boy. For a moment a mischievous expression pasted his face. The old playful Indi was seeping through his composer once more. But Indi still couldn’t help but be worried about his brother. He had seen the way it had made him so upset to just leave like that, but Kira did think he was doing the right thing and Indi wouldn’t argue with his brother.

Every step she calculated the distance. If he was to close she would move away. It would be a bit before Sin let this guy within a meter or 2 of her. She needed to learn as much as she could about him. And she was doing that just by how he held himself. Surprisingly he seemed like a rather calm guy who went with the flow. As he stopped for good she relaxed slightly and only then let her gaze wonder for a seconded just to remind herself what time it was and where she was. As his smile widened she crocked her head slightly. Curious now. As he chuckled she closed her eyes for a small amount of time to listen to the sound. From some reason the sound of a chuckle was a smoothing sound to Sin. She never understood why. Maybe because it was normally good-natured. Her brow raised slightly and her lip twitched up in a half amused smile.
“ I won’t doubt it. The way you laid yourself out.”
She muttered and then glanced at the cat. The more her eyesight wandered meant the more she was trusting with distance. She was slowly improving with him. Possibly making him one of the few other males she ‘could’ trust. Will being at the very top of that list thanks to the fact she had high respect for the leader.

Jo's ears fell as Indi spoke, the door was only open a centimetre or so, she couldn't see anything but could hear things clearly. She pressed her back against the stone wall leading down to the basement, ears flat against her head as she slowly slid down the side of the wall, perched on the edge of a step. He should have said goodbye, no matter what, he should have said goodbye. The hurt was clear in Jo’s eyes, Kira had been the only guy she had been slightly interested ever since she was injected, unlike most of the new people who seemed to pair up within a month of arriving, Jo had been there years and only met one guy. And he had left and hadn’t even bothered to let her know he was leaving. She closed her eyes as she let her head crash back against the stone wall. But she couldn’t stop a small smile twitching on her lips. A surgeon. That was great for him, helping people, saving lives, making something of his life, leaving this place and making something of his life. Her tail dangled listlessly off the side of the step as she listened to Indi and Skyler, glad that the two friends were reunited. She could tell by the tone in Indi’s voice that Kira wasn’t here, the hopes that had filled her when she heard Indi say his name now shattered.

Zack chuckled slightly harder by her comment and smirked, nodding. He followed her gaze to Greebo, who was now grooming himself and shooting dark looks over his shoulder, back turned to the pair. “Don’t mind him,” he said lightly, shaking his head at the cat. “He’s always in a strop,” he smirked as his soft brown eyes returned to look at Sinner. “So,” he paused for a moment, wondering exactly to say. “You hungry?” he asked randomly, well, not exactly random, his grumbling stomach really gave him the idea of food, he was starving, having been just reading for the past few hours. Which reminded him of the book. He moved forward slowly back to the tree, not moving in a wide circle like before but cutting the corner off of the circle and scooped down to pick up his book. He didn’t return to his original position, staying by the tree and watching Sinner quizzingly.

As he chuckled again she let the sound soak into her mind. Easing her really. With each glance shot at her she shot one right back. Being such as cold. She nodded as he told her not to mind him. She was going to say. ‘Trust me I don’t.’ But instead kept her mouth shut. No point in saying something that might be offending. When he asked if she was Hungry shock and surprised crossed her face. Clearly she was not expecting the request. Her silver pools were hidden for a moment under long black lashes as she looked at him from under them. Her head was now dipped down.
“ Well.. eh… Yes.”
She said honestly. When he moved she flinched and her head shot up to follow his moments but then she relaxed as she realized his intentions. Her head was crocked slightly again as she tried to read the title of the book with no luck. Her eyes wouldn’t focus on the text properly.
“What are you reading?”

Zack looked slightly regretful as she flinched, taking his motions slightly slower after she did, the last thing he wanted was for her to feel so on edge around him. Being such a chilled out guy, that was how he liked the people around him to be. But still, maybe she would relax around him over time. No harm in trying. He smiled as she admitted to her hunger, noticing the look of surprise crossing her face. He moved the cover of the book around so she wasn't reading it upside-down. "Lord of the rings," he replied. "One of my favourites, mostly because it's so long," he said, making a small step towards Sinner, only so that his back wasn't against the tree trunk. "You want to go get something to eat?" he suggested lightly. "I know a good hotdog stand by the beach," he added, thinking anything more might make her uncomfortable, like a restaurant or something where they were confined by walls and seats.

Sin noticed the regretful look. Maybe he was pure… And once he moved slower Sin accepted that. She acknowledged that he was now not a full threat. That he was purposely trying to scare her or make her feel uncomfortable. But yet this would still take getting used to. She returned his smile slightly, not as full but still a small smile at that. Once it was right side up she was able to slightly focus the words. When he told her what it was through she nodded. And then gave a soft laugh as he stated he liked it because it was long. She was kind of like that with books. She preferred text that would last her for a while. When he took a step forward Sinner didn’t react but only watches. Testing her own tolerance. When he asked if she wanted to go get something to eat she thought this over. It couldn’t hurt…
“ Eh, sure…”

Skyler nodded, his eyebrows furrowing a little, Jo must have had her heart broken. Kira could have told Jo /why/ he left, instead leaving the wild dog girl to think that anything could happen. He kept his mouth shut for a change. All in all he was happy to see Indi back, and that was what he focused on... "...Good for him," he uttered in agreement to Kira's new job. "So how long ago did you get here?" he asked Indi, curious. For he was about to head to the fridge like he always did after being out for most of the day wandering the streets in a happy-go-lucky manner.

Tammy moved out of the bath room her wings very tightly pinned to her back as she saw three others in the room she had met Indi in. She looked around and found herself shifting to her owl form. She flew to a booth and sat on the back. She made herself look small so not to be seen. She was fine around a small amount of people but larger groups she got nervous.
