Sky couldn't stop herself from laughing at Lee's words, she actually found it rather funny. "Well, if you're offering," she chuckled lightly. If only. She took the twenty dollar bill lightly in her slender hand and turned it over, checking it's authenticity, before slipping it into the back pocket of her jeans. "Cassandra snogged Jay," she said simply, once she got her money she wasn't the sort to mess around too much, people didn't tend to pay so happily when you made them wait for info they had paid for. She wasn't really sure how Lee would take such information, but was dieing to find out.

Sinner was still confused by why this person smiled so. Maybe it was in his nature. She didn't know and she knew she might never find out. So now she was being offered a puzzle, a small peice of a even bigger grand picture. But what would this picture show when it was all but put together for her eyes to behold. He seemed to react positively when she was more relaxed around him. Almost as if her comfort offered him so satifaction or joy. She was still unsure of him though. As she was unsure of every person she meant. As he took another step towards her she stiffened and then told herself to relax. He was not making any fast movements which were really helping right now. As he came closer her breath came out rushed she stiffened a tad bit while she tried to even out her breathing. But as he moved away she slowly relaxed and took pace a few meters behind him.
" I will be the judge of that."
She said in an almost playful manner. She watched his grin and couldn't help but give another small smile. What was it. When one person smiled another always did. It was like a odd curse you couldn't escape.

Lee expected to be tagged about for a while, to have the girl mess about until Lee lost his temper, but when she just blurted it out, it took minute for he words to register, a frown creased his lips, brow furrowing. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before checking his watch. Right, so Cassandra clearly wasn't interested in remaining loyal. So, why should Lee? He wasn't the type of guy to lead people on, but...he believed he knew someone who'd be willing to help. "Thank you Sky" he replied simply, turning and leaving the room to seek out a certain woman whom he worked with. Cassandra was just going to have to learn that he wouldn’t always be forgiving, and if pushed, he wouldn’t always play by the rules, it was time for Cassandra to learn just how he felt, and he was going to lay this on thick a small self gratifying smile on his lips.

♰ When Skyler paused Indi looked at the boy in the eye. He was sure he had composed himself right. Not letting his worry and pain slip. When Sky asked what the matter was Indi bit down on his lip in stress. Man was today stressful. When Will chuckled Indi turned his head to look at his father. A questioning look passing his face before it blanked. Then when he was nudged he looked confused once more. He didn't under stand the motion. His frown puzzled Indi even more. Then when Will said a blank face can give away just as much as a expressive face does he understood. And then everything came together. He looked down at his feet.
" I don't know.... It's Kira... He was showing em all this. Teaching me all these things that didn't seem nesscary.I think there is something. Something else. I can't help it. I have this gut feeling he was running away. But Kira is not that kind of person. He would only leave if it was to protect someone he loved... but nothing is adding up."
He looked to Will troubled. And then his ear twitched. What was that scent? The male could hear the flapping of winds and the sound of air gliding against feathers. But the movement of paper being crushed against claws? In that moment Indi was at the front door and peering out it. A raven, a rather small one was flying away which was confusing. It didn't smell like anyone in the group nor did it smell of lab. It was a animal. Yet there was a letter, torn slightly but still readable on the ground. In fine script it had 'To Jo' written in Kira's signature handwriting. He could smell his brother's scent on the letter where he had to lick the envelope shut.
"Will!"

Zack chuckled at her comment, the hint of playfulness in it must mean he was making progress with the girl. He was also pleased with how near she let him get. It wasn’t hard to realise that this wasn’t a privilege many people got, to get remotely near her without her bolting or attacking them. He was a smiley, grinning, smirking guy as a rule and he was more with girls, often feeling more comfortable around them then guys, although he was perfectly happy around guys. And it did depend on the person themselves, he really hadn't clicked with Jo, ending up often saying the wrong thing to make the beast in the basement explode.
He was glad she was happy to follow, making his way at a steady pace through the park. As soon as they got into a more crowded area it was clear it that Sinner was walking so far behind Zack it didn’t look like they were walking together. After they exited the park Zack came to a halt, seemingly pondering which way to turn towards the beach but really wanting to see how near Sinner would now let herself get to him.

Sky smirked and nodded. "Just doing my job," she replied as Le left, hand slipping into her pocket to take out the $20 note. She smiled happily, why so happy? Well, Lee had paid her to rat out on Cassandra, clearly they had a very trusting relationship. She gave a small snort of laughter at the idea of Cassandra and Lee trusting each other, yeah right, like that was ever going to happen. Anyway, Sky was $20 richer by giving Lee information she would have given him for free.

Will had simply nodded, as said before, he’d barely known Kira at all, so what more could he say? He didn’t know what type of person Kira was, other than one who jumped to conclusions. All he really knew about Kira was that he was just another person who took one of his friends from him most of the time. Which was why Will either wished for a partner of his own or that he and others wouldn’t simply be forgotten when they got partners. After all, With Damien and Twilight, when they got together, in the space a few months, he’d barely seen Twilight three times, if that. Now Bridget wasn’t around most of the time and he was beginning to suspect she had someone too, he’d seen Jo more often, but he guessed, he was afraid Kira could do more to help Jo that he could. Which once more, felt like more space was being put between him and those he was closest too, because of ‘outsiders’ per say. Because of the new ones, the newer experiments, the new ones to join the group, the older ones were spreading out and Will was left in the center, still needing to continue with helping, caring, leading so on and so forth. Soon he’d probably be stuck with only Duncan for company, the cheetah needing to hold back a shudder at the thought. But…if Kira could help Jo more than he could, he was all for him coming back, after all, it may put wedges between them, but at least Jo would be safer and out of harms way, the way she was slowly deteriorating to her wild dog form. He ran a hand through his hair before he heard Indi call him, his eyes opened from where they’d closed and he approached the door calmly, opening it and stepping out questioningly. “What?”

There is was. That sound again. She relaxed naturally at the sound of his chuckle. And it was starting to annoy her through. The fact she calmed when he made the sound. But Sin didn’t lose any of her edginess. As they came through a more crowded area. Sinner took great care to avoid touching people. Some would give her sideways looks and others would stares. But most keep walking without looking over their shoulders. But if Sin caught someone looking at her, she would send an icy glare back. A warning. That is how people get hurt with Sinner. They move to close to fast and then blood is spilt. Sin trailed behind keeping Zack in her sight but never trying to keep pace with him or go farther or closer to him.
Once they exited the park and he stopped, Sin straighten wondering for a moment why he was not moving. Sin came up slightly closer then before, but not a whole lot of improvement. The way she held her body was still very defensive and it was clear to everyone around her she didn’t want to be touched. But then she closed again now curious about what he was doing and moving maybe 2 meters or so behind him and then off to the side to peer around him. This was in her comfort zone and it did make her uncomfortable but she was telling herself to be tolerant. She couldn’t keep being like this around guys. Someone was bounded to get hurt bad.

Zack tried hard to ignore her clear uncomfortableness as they weaved through the people in the park, in a way he was almost glad that it didn't look like the two were together as she threw people who looked at her too long an ice cold glare. Zack would simply grin at someone who stared at him more then he felt was comfortable, in a way it freaked people out more then the glare would. People knew what to do with a glare, most people it was keep your head down and keep moving, but most people just didn't know what to do when a complete stranger grinned at them. He was just glad that none of the strange looks Sinner received came in his direction, which they probably would if they were walking together.
It was a very strange feeling to try and have a conversation with someone who’s not willing to come within a couple of meters of you or to feel like you’re actually moving together at all. Zack wouldn’t have been at all surprised if he looked behind him to find Sinner gone completely, that she had just slipped away. But he much preferred that then crowing her. Now he stood silently and glanced over his shoulder to see how near she would let herself get to him, maybe it wasn’t very near but it was important for him to know just how close she felt was alright without him having to test the waters and possibly get too close for her liking.
“This way,” he said lightly, pointing to the left which lead towards the beach. “So how long have you been with the rebels?” he asked, wondering if she was a newbie like him or if she had been there for a while.

Sin wished she was back in her room. Her safe room in which no one could touch her or be near her. That’s where she felt more herself. She was in her territory and in her element. Like a fish in water and a jaguar in the jungle. She was able to avoid being touched easily. Well then again she gave off a natural aura in which is strictly defensive. And not many people would like to approach someone who gave off such a warning air. Sin was actually surprised that this boy still decided to be in her presence. Normally it would make people uncomfortable.
As he pointed where to go she at last decided to try and talk one on one. See how it felt. Sin knew if she disliked it she could always back herself off. But she needed to try and give this guy a chance. He seemed nice enough, but her trust was very much fluxing with him. Going in between trust and wariness with every passing seconded. It was rather hard for Sinner to properly judge him now that he seemed ever so kind yet she couldn’t help but feel almost as if he was fake. She moved up to his side before responding to his question.
“ I have been here a while.”
She said honestly her voice come out a little less stressed and more controlled. She wondered what Will would have to say if he saw her here now. He would probably be pretty pleased with her progress. But standing this close to someone was proving very difficult and stressful even if she didn’t let it show. She was using all her tolerance and control to keep from bolting each time he took a breath. It was up to him now to see how close or far Sinner decides to be.

♰ Indi’s eyes were locked on that letter. He was confused beyond anything. A letter? Why a letter? Why to Jo? Nothing was adding up again. He couldn’t help but feel tinges of worry. What would be so important that Kira would simply send a letter instead of coming in person. Was his brother chickening out on something? No. Kira was not like that, the guy didn’t back down from a challenge… unless it involved his family. Was that it? Was something wrong? Indi felt himself shivering slightly again as he heard Will open the door behind him. Not once did Indi look away from the white wrinkled and torn envelope. It looked like the paper had been through hell and back. The smell of canine and feline along with the unique aroma of medical sterilizers and cinnamon which was Kira’s signature scent was pretty much radiating off the paper. Yet he could not smell the ashy scent of his house nor the clean and sickly smell of the hospital. So where had Kira written the letter? Or did the travel here clean the scents off?
“ I have a bad feeling about this… “
He told Will. He couldn’t explain it but he felt some sick fear building in him. That composer that Kira had showed him was washing over his face once more. Making his eyes drain out all emotions completely, which was just plain unnatural. Especially for the Jackal boy. It only took him to long strides of his legs to reach the paper. Within moments the letter was placed in his hands, finger’s curled around it carefully. Then Indi turned to Will. Still expressionless. He handed the letter out to him for him to examine. Maybe Will could pick up something he hadn’t. For a moment his composer did faultier to allowed deep worry to press across his face till he was able to control it and hide it once more. Why had Kira been so forceful with these new habits that he had placed onto Indi?
“ It’s from Kira…”

Drip, drip, drip.
The small droplets of water slithered off the leaves of the trees. A pair of deep brown eyes watched through strands of silk black hair as they fell to their doom below. The earth greeted the drops with an almost egger reaction as it hungrily absorbed the liquid into itself. The curiosity was clear in the male’s eyes as he wondered what those drops would have tasted like. The moisture that would have rolled across his tongue and eased the dry pain in his throat. But he would never know unless he tried right? But then again the boy didn’t look like one to go licking at the ground to try and obtain some liquid from the heavens. But then again, weren’t the heavens supposed to be of the greatest reward? But did he really deserve anything… It seemed in his eyes that life has never shown a sliver of kindness to his lean body nor his shattering soul. He was breaking. But was he breaking the right way?
He parted his full lips to take in a swift breath of air. Seth Knox could taste the cool earth on his tongue, the bark from the trees, the moisture in the air and above all his own scent. The air weaved its way around each tooth and then pressed against the back of his throat. You could easily see his chest rise as the air inflated his lungs and sent a relief through his form. Then he sighed. Annoyance briefly took over Seth’s appearance. But then a new scent swept over to him, something warm and sweet. The smell of roses were always a welcomed scent. There gentle yet deadly looking appearance had always gripped Seth’s admiration. But then again, how could you not admire such a beautiful plant?
Seth raised a nimble pale hand as he ran it through his black bangs. The soft fibbers and texture of his hair rubbed against his skin. Another sigh escaped his lips before he pressed them together, briefly cutting off his air. He was trying to remember, to recall his purpose here. Would his parents approve? Seth’s eyes flashed open then. The liquid chocolate pools were twisted with some pained emotion that caused him to lean over as a gasp was forced from his body.
His mood changed quickly, as his eyes were wide. The breath was gone from his lungs. A sudden panic broke through him before he just let himself loose. His body went limp against the back of the tree as he cleared his mind. Seth had these ‘fits’ when he thinks of his mother, a brief angry sense blows over him. His limp body was shaking slightly. A very mild fit compared to what could have happened. Then suddenly the silence around him was shattered. A most beautiful and handsome voice leaked into the air.
“Summer’s lease hath to soon a date.”
His voice was low, but so deep and striking it was almost intoxicating. He had stopped shaking and was now resting more peacefully against the tree. His chest rose and fell quickly as he tried to stabilize his body. Seth didn’t know if the fits were because he was a injected or if that his past had that much effect on him. He guessed it had to do with both. A relieved breath was pressed from Seth as he let his head fall backwards against the truck of the tree. His face was now looking at the heavens as his black lashes kissed his cheeks. He was all right now, just tired. Both mentally and physically. But then again what does one really expect when someone has such strong shivering fits? I guess you could say Seth was just one of those unluckily people in this world.
“ What would it take for these broken wings to fly once more?”

–Sasha—
Sasha wandered about the streets in the rain her fur dripping with the moisture. Her hazel eyes wandered about watching the few drivers that passed on the wet road. She growled each time she saw a driver on the phone or speeding. She shook her collar going back into place the blue glass shard behind the one washer of the pendant caught the light. She slowed as she got to a park looking around ears dripping with the water that soaked her to the bone.
Sasha looked around at the trees not seeing a single soul around. She let out a deep breath her breath lightly showing from being hotter then the air around her. She sat under a tree looking around her mind wandering from thoughts of Mrs. Knox to Seth. She wondered if he was okay and where he was. She lowered her head as she looked at the ground lost in thought.
"What has be fallen you my dear friend?" Her soft song like voice rang out lightly into the silence as she wished for a answer to her question.
Sasha lifted a paw to her collar pendant that was simply made of a washer and a small washer like charm that had the word, 'imagine' on it going around the blue stain glass shard. She stood and shook her fur again. She walked off again through the trees seeking someone she doubted she would ever see again.

She opened one eye, watching as the black and white cub tumbled out of the sink and landed splay-legged on the floor, attempting to run and staying in the same place. Rook sighed, taking a hand towel from the wall and scooping the cub into her arms. "I swear to God, one day child..." She said, trying not to laugh as she rubbed the little cheetah's head dry, making her way back into the main body of the restaurant, a hand on Evie's scruff keeping her still. "You are a terror, you really are." She tutted, letting go of the dynamo girl as she darted out of her grasp and into the air, shaking as she did so, showering Rook in water. Will frowned, it had been odd enough Indi had rushed to the door, in all honestly, with the noise in the restaurant it was near impossible for anyone to hear that ruffle little bird, especially when you heard birds all the time, those infernal gulls heard from ages away. One of those downsides to staying near the beach, but who could complain? It was one of the better hide outs they had, and Will had noticed on quite a few occasions their hideouts although abandoned or not, always seemed comfortable, it wasn’t like they were being hunted and living on the hard side of life at all. But, should he really complain? He wasn’t going to of course; it was one of those general thoughts. However, Will stared at the note lying on the ground with little interest before looking back to the fleeing, bedraggled raven.
Why on earth a raven? They weren’t stupid birds, but it’s not like they weren’t temperamental and who used them as messenger birds…weren’t…messenger birds for that kind of thing? Well, right now, Will was frowning at the small black smudge of the bird as it gained more and more distance between them, before his eyes dropped to Indi, shaking his head lightly at his words. A boy of complete optimism clearly. Will wasn’t really in the mood for bad news, and in truth, he thought Indi was overreacting quite a bit, it was a letter, a crumpled bit of paper, lying on the ground looking as if it would disintegrate as soon as someone lay a finger on it. He noted it was addressed to Jo and once more, Indi looked like he was about to have a panic attack of some sort, and the mix of showing emotion and remaining stupidly blank was pressing a nerve. “Indi will you cut it out!” he growled exasperatedly. “Seriously, you just look silly” he muttered, taking the note simply, it had nothing to do with him, so he simply when to the basement door and opened the door, placing it on the step on the inside of the door for Jo to find before closing it again. “Done” he muttered. Shaking his head as he disappeared into the kitchen moments before Rook and Evie wandered in, the door still to shut behind him as he slumped down at the table wearily.

It wasn't a very effective method, to be honest, filling a sink and forcefully scrubbing her. If only she could get her hands on some of the tranquilisers the guards used. That would make everything so much easier. Not that she would ever dare to drug her own daughter. She loved her too much. "I'll tell your father you've been misbehaving..." She said, turning into the kitchen, looking at Will and doing a slight double-take. She hadn't seen him for a while, and it still made her stomach turn slightly to be in his presence. "Oh." She said quietly, and leaned against the fridge. "I'm looking for a thing about this big..." She said, miming an Evie-sized shape in the air with her hands. "Powered by sugar puffs, possibly storming around like a wet thing?" She said, smiling as she re-tamed her hair, knotting it back into a much more neat ponytail. The bedraggled look was one she'd gotten quite used to while on her hands and knees cleaning, but she was starting to try and look more respectable again now. Try being the operative word.[/ul][/sub] And so smile, child...

From where he was slumped on the table, arms folded and head on his arms, eyes closed in a tired manner, the sudden squeal and the black blur bombing with impressive speed through the door and skidding unceremoniously across the clean metal counter nad plopping herself into the large, metal sink, this had certainly caught a certain amle’s attention, a smile beginning to perk his lips as he realised what had taken over his kitchen. How long had it been since he’d seen his daughter?
Too long, he decided after a bit, looking over to where Rook was threatening Evie, he grinned as he heard her words. “I’m being used as a threat now am I?” he said, relieved they were alone and he was with Rook, a single, friendly, familiar face who knew him probably more than anyone else here. He pushed himself up and approached wrapping her in a hug with a sigh, nuzzling her hair lightly. “Is it just me or are days getting less exciting yet more stressful?” he huffed lightly, raising his head to smile down at the smaller experiment and pecked her forehead with the same affection he’d always had. “How are you?” he asked lightly, looking over to see the wet, scraggly form of his daughter in the sink. “unsuccessful bath?” he mused with a smile heading over and stroking along his daughter’s back lightly. “C’mon Evelyn, lets give you a good clean hm?” he mused. “If you’re good, how about a treat?” he prompted. Even if Rook had managed to thoroughly wash the child, a second bath wouldn’t hurt to make sure, and Rook could have a rest and Will could hopefully distract the kitten for the time being. He began to run the water, one hand cupping the cat’s chest to hold her gently but firmly in place and the other hand cupped the water and gently spilled it over her back and stroked the fur smooth once more.

Rook* Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore ~+~ She said, hugging Will briefly, glad of the proximity. She missed the time they spent together. "I think you're right. I've spent days cleaning, and it's done nothing but turn me into a right nag." She said, rolling her eyes. "How about you? Life going alright?" She asked, feeling a slight pang. She rarely saw him any more. In that respect, her question was quite apt. She sat herself upon the worksurface, soaked socked feet pressing together as she watched Will with their daughter, a smile sketched upon her face. That familiar look of longing, longing for a normality she would never have. "It's been fairly dull as far as I can tell..." She tutted as Evie behaved perfectly in Will's presence. She shook her head, laughing softly at the girl's utter obedience in the face of her father. "Fact, she likes you far more than me." She said with a dull laugh. It was only natural for the girl to adore the person she saw the least. spending her entire life in the presence of her matriarch was bound to make her a little bit rebellious. Then again, a very obedient, attitude-free daughter would probably not be the daughter of Will and Rook. Neither of them were particularly conformist, at any rate. Especially not the ridiculously extrovertial mother figure. Always there, always outspoken and at the ready. "I feel a break-in coming on." She sighed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she looked at the opposite wall. "I'm running out of flexible bandages, and my long-handled forceps are going very blunt." She said, sighing. "Can't get the staff these days, you know." she added with a smirk.[/ul][/sub] And so smile, child...

Will chuckled lightly, Rook, she hadn’t changed a bit, she seemed the only one, will drew back from his daughter for a minute, peeling off his top and the bandages from his fingers on either hand, there were bad, deep gashes along the slender fingers, but it was nearing the time they needed to breath to heal. He dumped the bandages in the bin and went back to Evie smiling as he raised her and kissed her nose. “Daddy’s little angel aren’t you?” he smiled, rubbing noses affectionately with his daughter, placing her down again as he began to gently wash her fur. He gave a content sigh, the first in a while. “Hm, I have a feeling I’m going to forget what such an obedient child Is like” he murmured lightly. “My days have been…rough” he admitted. “You heard about the two dragon eggs that were brought here? Well, they’re currently in my care now they’ve hatched, and Jay’s since he brought them to me. Jay’s buggered off somewhere for ages and these dragons aren’t like normal babies” he sighed.
“I mean, sure, they’re small, helpless and so on, but Duncan’s a little bastard” he muttered with a frown. “I mean, what would you consider to be, a baby? What characteristics would you expect?” he murmured thoughtfully, looking to Rook expectantly for an answer as he curled Evelyn’s tail around his finger before beginning to play with her while she had her bath, teasing her with a clean flannel as if it were a bit of string or something similar, smiling contently with fondness only a father could have to their child. “Evie, mind changing for me?” he murmured lightly, he hadn’t seen his daughter’s human form in so long.

She exhaled deeply, trying to crush the thought. What was done was done. She smiled slightly at the sound of their bad behaviour. "They're dragons, what do you expect?" She said with a slight laugh. There was a slight crunch, distracting her from her thoughts as Evie switched back to her human form, sretching out her soggy arms to reach around Will's neck. "They aren't going to be as clingy as Evie. She's still very... cute." She said, leaning back against the cupboard. "One day, she'll be fifteen and moody like the rest of this horrible lot."
