i n d i giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.

♰Indi thought to himself for a moment. How much had Jo and Kira suffered from his job? Wait why did he even go through with it. Was it mom? Maybe… Kira didn’t tell Indi why they were ‘really’ leaving. But Indi had a feeling it had to do with Seth. A old friend of Kira’s. Well used to be a friend anyways. But still… Kira never have him a straight explanation and that really bugged Indi. Was his brother hiding something? Was he trying to protect his family from something?
“ I have only been here about a hour.”
He said honestly looking at the ground. It was clear something was troubling him because he composed himself suddenly. Going blank. It was becoming a habit whenever he felt something troubling. He didn’t want others to worry. But then again he was giving himself away by only going blank then.

"Oh, cool. I was going to grab something to ea-" he paused seeing Indi's expression go amiss to none at all. Skyler's ears perked, studying the jackal boy, his green eyes thoughtful. "What's the matter?" he asked, voice softer and less teasing.
((bleh I need to go to bed. *thunk*. Crap post, you can continue with out me, school's busy tomorrow. ))

Will had only briefly been listening to the conversation between the others, he hadn’t really known Kira, other than the time he’d burst in on Jo accusing her of cheating on him with Will. It was a shame that Jo was only hugging and comforting Will when he was feeling particularly down, and to say the least, that didn’t go down well. He just remembered himself, blurting out his input about the situation, some advice and then was scampering out that door like a bat out of hell. You couldn’t say Will had a true fear of Jo, she was truthfully a strong and very skilled girl when it came to fighting, but so was Will. But as proved many times over, Will would refuse constantly to fight her, and when there was a situation like that? When it wasn’t serious but Jo would probably try to beat the crap out of him anyway? That’s when you run!
He chuckled quietly, shaking his head as he looked around the room, keeping a weary eye on Duncan and disappeared into the kitchen returning with a tray of glasses and some drinks along with some packets of crisps and other nibbles for anyone else happened to want something, glancing at Indi and frowning, giving him a nudge. “You know, a blank face gives just as much away as an expression one, but I prefer expressive” he commented, giving the hint he disliked the fact that he seemed to need to ‘hide’ something from them.

Jo closed her pained emerald green eyes as she vaguely listened to the conversation that Indi and Sky were having. Slowly her form changed and shrunk to that of the wild dog, she felt safer in wild dog form. She lay down along the step, if anyone came down, not that anyone ever did, they would probably end up stepping on her as she blended in with the step she lay across. Her ears were firmly pressed back against her head, which was laying on her outstretched paws. Eyes closed as memories of Kira flooded back. She too remembered the time he had burst in on her and Will, she had snapped his head off for thinking she was cheating on him, with Will, I mean, really, come on. Will was more like an older brother and certainly she had never thought about him in ‘that’ way. It was bad timing that it was one of the first times she had felt even slightly comfortable hugging Will that Kira had to make his appearance.
Still, she couldn’t help a small smile tugging on her lips as she thought about it. In many ways she was pleased for Kira, to get out of his life with the USASI and go lead a normal one, as a surgeon no less. But it cut like a knife knowing that he had chosen not to say goodbye, he hadn’t been forced to leave by the lab or someone, in many ways she actually would have preferred that. At least then there would have been a decent explanation for his disappearance. She let out a painful sigh as she lay on the cold stone step. It felt like she had been punched in the stomach, wishing in a way that Indi hadn’t come back, hadn’t reopened the wound that had healed. Or at least that he had brought Kira back with him, well, that Kira had chosen to come back, obviously Kira was a big boy and could make up his own mind about these things, he had chosen not to come back.

Zack’s smile widened into a full out grin as Sinner gave a small smile, which widened even more when she laughed, it seemed he was making progress with the girl. He was glad that she didn’t move away when he moved forward so decided to take another, small step towards her. He was positively beaming when she said she would come get something to eat. He didn’t like people to be afraid of him, not people who were the good guys anyway. He started to make his way slowly towards the beach, a couple of steps nearer to Sinner as he passed her but keeping his distance. “It’s this way,” he said lightly, moving a few steps forward and then glancing over his shoulder to see if she was following. “They make some of the best hotdogs you have ever tasted,” he said with a grin.

It had been a busy day. A very busy day actually, being certified in both fields of medical and scientific vocation it meant the certain young man, younger than most in this faculty I may add, was just right for the head of his certain ‘department’ which basically meant he was in charge of things done with the experiments, injection times, DNA and study, especially care which he often left to himself and also had to overlook the care of the guards and staff also. Assigning them to which jobs and so on. In all, he held a very strong foothold in the USASI ladder, not the most important or more powerful, no, far from it, but he was a respectful figure, but with this position brought stress and many, many hours of stressful, laborious work. But! For once, Lee hadn’t had such a hard day, since the operation on the dragon, checking over the experiments and then double checking his rota he found himself free for the rest of the day. So now, Lee was lounging with much deserved rest in the staff room, perched on one of the low, padded chairs with his arm over the back, his ankle resting on his opposite knee he sipped at his coffee, sighing with relief at the strong taste. His black fringe cut across his eyes, he looked expressionless as usual, his lips naturally in a frowny pout expression but didn’t look ‘sad’ at all, it was hard to explain how the attractive young man worked and how he looked really. But, he looked relaxed now, and he held that air of ‘masculinity’ despite doing nothing at all. He closed his ees briefly, mentally ticking away the seconds, any second now, someone would walk through that door, and destroy his peace, he bet his weeks wage on it.

"Watcha doin'?" the voice came from directly next to Lee, wavy red locks ran down the shoulder of a brightly blue eyed girl who had perched herself on the arm of the chair. She smiled lightly at Lee, a myschoivs glint in her sky blue eyes. She had in fact opened the door and made her way over to the chair but it would have been very hard for a normal human to notice, especially one with their eyes shut. Sky was surprisingly good at her job and sneaking around not being noticed was one of the key factors of it. That and finding out useful information.

Lee's expression didn’t twitch or show any form of acknowledgement that Sky had spoke, or that she was even there, true, he hadn’t heard her, but Lee was pretty hard to scare as of late, he was used to people jumping up on him, so it was now quite a task to startle the usually composed man. “What do you want, Sky?” he asked, opening his brown eyes to gaze at the girl, lips in a frown, his accent thick and rich despite his time within America it hadn’t changed in the slightest. He peered at the girl, seemingly unbothered by the tips of his dark hair which fell past his eyebrows and just broke into the very top of his eyes. His coffee cup still resting in his right hand which was resting on the arm of the chair, as Sky took up the left one.

Sky shrugged. "Bored," she said simply, a knowing look on her face as she curled her finger around a stray lock of red hair. "Thought I'd come see my favourite scientist to cheer meself up," she added with a grin, there was very little sarcasm in her voice but it was easy to know she didn't mean those words at face value. She yawned as her tail flicked lightly down the side of the chair, ears pricked forward, not put off by Lee’s lack of enthusiasm at seeing her.

“I’m sure you have a job to do, rather than pestering those who have stuff to do, or are enjoying the little time where they don’t have anything to do” he commented, trying to pass the hint, and Sky would probably get it loud and clear, and ignore it completely. “You’re here for a reason Sky, there’s always a reason, what do you want?” he asked calmly, his voice sounding uninterested. “Heard more from the gossip chain that seemed to have formed around here?” he questioned. And of course, Lee found himself excluded from said ‘gossip chain’ which could only ever lead to one possible answer, it was about. But it was impossible to tell if it actually bothered him or not. But strangely, it had started shortly after all these fiascos with Cassandra where he’d battled between trying to form a state relationship of some form with her and not getting distracted form work.

Sky shrugged. "My current job is to snoop for information and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing," she said as her ankles crossed and she leaned her back against the back of the chair but she smirked as Lee mentioned the gossip chain. "Well, as you mention it..." she chuckled, still twirling her hair around her finger. “And just to let you know, it’s not from the ‘gossip chain’, as you call it, oh no, this is fresh information that most people would pay a good price for.” She doubted that Lee would actually give her anything for the information but it was worth a shot, surely?

The male rolled his eyes, why did he have a feeling said information was about members of staff? Nor was it relevant or would it serve in any way, of help in keeping peace among the faculty? Because Sky had sought him out to tell him, that’s why. “Sky” he said, voice calm, cool. But held a very distinct warning tone and a hint of…amusement? “After hearing your demands last time” he said loftily, “I’m still not interested, and if it were actual relevant information, you’d be forced to tell me, for if I thought you were withholding information that could be aid the company in anyway, you know you’d be seen as a liability and a possible infiltrator, i.e, working for someone outside of this company meaning you’d be immediately terminated if you fall under suspicion” he said calmly. “So, if this ‘fresh information’ is good enough to be paid for, you better tell me, before I ‘suspect’” he mused.

Sky smirked as her tail flicked lazily, Lee was very little fun, it had to be said, but this information was too juicy to pass up giving to him personally. His threats lay on deaf ears, she didn’t care what he could do to him if he so wished, he was a nice guy and even if he hated her she had the feeling he wouldn’t get her terminated over her simply annoying him. And if he did, so what? Time spent on this earth ended, big deal. Life’s a game and if it’s no fun might as well stop playing. “It’s of no interest to the company. Unless of course they wish to know who Cas-Cas is snogging,” Sky said lightly, slipping off of the arm of the chair and walking over to the kettle, tail waving lightly as she walked, jeans clinging tightly to her legs.

Lee had come to realise, his threats, or just his words held very little grasp on Sky, in short, she simply didn’t care, and he’d learned to accept that. He was too nice a guy and sometimes far to patient for his own liking. He looked at Sky, now at least able to endure her company somewhat, but with each visit he knew it brought new, unpleasant information for him. At Cassandra’s name being mentioned he perked up, raising a brow at the girl. “We all know who Cassandra’s been snogging already” he drawled, “You aren’t behind all this old news by now are you?” he commented, Lee of course, thinking Sky had meant Cassandra and himself.

Sky smirked as she turned around to look at Lee, eyebrows raised, leaning against the counter as the water quietly began to boil. Her tail swung slowly behind her as she rested her elbows on the counter, ankles crossed as she held a knowing look on her face. "Oh please, do you really think I would waste my time coming to tell you that old story?" she asked, somewhat surprised that Lee actually thought that was worth her time. She shook her head lightly. “It seems that you are not the only apple of our Cassandra’s cold blue eye,” she chuckled.

Lee frowned, noting that Sky was being annoying silent with that smug little look on her face as she adjusted herself comfortably, but his expression remained blank, waiting expectantly for her to spill as he cradled his empty but still warm mug between his hands. A proper frown creasing his lips now however as Sky finally leaked some information to him, brows furrowing slightly. He sat back, sighing irritably as he placed two fingers to his temple wearily. “Sky” he said warningly, signalling for her to spill the beans.

Sky chuckled lightly and shook her head. "If only it were that easy," she said to Lee, clearly not about to blurt all. "You know Cassandra as well as anyone and you know that she knows how a gun works. I'm not about to give you something for nothing, especially when there may be a bullet at the other end of it for me.” Sky smirked as she once more twirled a lock of red hair around her slender finger. She knew that Lee would want this information and be too distracted with Cassandra after she told him to bother her and this time she wasn’t going to let up without getting something in return.

lee shook his head, “Sky” he said wearily, the things you ask for are so stupidly unreasonable you know you’re not going to get them, so why try for a measly bit of information, which I can probably get off security cameras anyway” he commented, looking at her patiently. Waiting for her to say something, name a price or something. He knew Sky was nothing but a opportunist, and he was surprised she didn’t go bounty hunting or some random crap to make money or something. In truth, she was simply a pain in the arse and he couldn’t be bothered with her.

Sky chuckled and shook her head. "$20s," she said as she slipped her thumbs into the back pockets of her tight fitting denim shorts. It was hardly as unreasonable as her previous demands. Honestly she just wanted to be the one to tell Lee and $20 wasn’t the first price that came to mind. “And there is no security footage of this, and before you say, no, I didn’t take it. Cas-Cas did.” Sky smirked, knowing Cassie had ordered the tape from security right after the snog, she didn’t really want Lee to find out about it.

the man’s eyebrow’s raised, the first sign of surprise he’d shown so far. “That’s it? No date with Brad Pitt or using the guards as target practice with Cassandra’s gun?” oooh, didn’t you just love sarcasm with a lovely Irish accent? “This better be worth it” he side, standing and setting his cup in the sink before fishing twenty dollars from his pocket, pausing before handing it over. “If this is a load of crap, I expect this back, with interest” he warned, before handing the twenty over.
