Sasha looked at the group and sat dog style shifting to her werewolf form head tilted at Duncan. She was glad she was introduced and felt a bit better but was wanting to have the comfort of someone she really knew. Seth. She listened but just looked at Duncan head tilted.

"Let my face bleed out? It was merely a skin deep cut!" he said pointing to the thin scabs that ran down his face. "You're skin deep. Could we put that whole lab thing behind us?..." said Skyler rather peeved to see that the vampire bat girl was back. She was more like a leech, why did she have to stick around him? The elk-boy took a few paces toward the woods before turning around. He knew he hadn't been all that charming to Natalie but he had to ask. "I'm going to go get some fire wood for tonight and maybe something to repair the hut...before I go, you haven't happen to see the Kaitey did you? The wolf girl the alpha captured?" he asked his ivy colored eyes anxious about her condition.

Twilight looked at the prison like lab and as she did one thing came to mind. "Modern Alcatraz." She began to slowly walk around the huge building her wings folded but ruffled as she was agitated. "What am I doing here? Why did they have to bring us here?! Of all bloody damn places. HERE?!" Her gray wings another thing of her past coming back to her like a boomerang in the face. She had thought that it was gone. Done. But NO. The injection and extraction still happened and now she is almost like she was when she killed Rich. Boy if she could get her talons on Julie or Cassandra she would have a spree. But if that happened she would end up getting worse treatment due to her sucky ass.....Karma..... Oh what fun it would be though not that she could ever do it. She had promised herself she would not let herself kill a human being ever again evil or not.

Natalie rolled her eyes. "Blood is blood, and it was coming out of your face." She retorted. glancing up at the childish dragon. "Calm down, Fido, I'm.... safe enought o be around." The injected hesitated. Was she safe enough to hang out around? "You're skin deep. Could we put that whole lab thing behind us?..." A small grin played upon her face again. "Fine. New place, new start, right?" Yeah, so she was showing her friendlier side. Natalie wasn't always so hateful; believe it or not. She was about to turn and investigate this 'hut' the elk was talking about when he asked her a question. "I'm going to go get some fire wood for tonight and maybe something to repair the hut...before I go, you haven't happen to see the Kaitey did you? The wolf girl the alpha captured?" The vampire injected thought for a moment. Kaitey.. Kaitey... oh! "Kaitey, the canine companion? No, I don't recall seeing her. I was knocked out, in a dark room, and woke up on the beach. Sorry."

((Gah! Jo I'm so sorry for not responding sooner. Week has been bleh >.< ))
Will easily ignored the dark glare he’d been subjected too countless times before when handling the wild dog, especially when she was injured. He cast her a small grin, stroking her head gently when he felt the weight of her head on his leg as he waited for Skyler to return with the wet strips he’d given him. Thankfully Skyler seemed to be rather quick and returned shortly after. “Thanks Sky, don’t get lost or hurt, it’s hard enough finding people here” he called after the elk as he jogged off into the foliage once more. Watching until he was out of sight. He looked down to Jo and studied the wounds, sighing softly. “It’s a shame they don’t leave at least one first aid pack with us” he muttered lightly as he began to gently clean around the words to get the blood from the fur. His ears twitched as he heard Jo speak up. He paused, moving away and snapping a thick stick from a branch that hung above him. Peeling away the smaller twigs and leaves attached he knelt back by the wild dog. “You can talk to me about it if you’d like” he offered with a smile, hoping to keep her mind off the pain that would come from the salt in the wound. He placed the stick by her muzzle. “When it hurts, bite the stick” he explained, preferring the stick to suffer more than him. He then began to tenderly wipe the wounds with practiced care, murmuring things occasionally as small reassurance when they lapsed into silence. His claws gently combed through the bloodied fur as that too began to return to it’s normal colour.

Duncan hissed and growled, 'I'm not a dog." The big dragon seemed to have regained his older intellect. He stood up, tail lashing as he looked torwards Skyler, "I don't like her." The smokey black dragon glared at the bat injected as he walked around the clearing, sniffing at the different huts, making a face when he came to one a little ways out. "This one smells wierd. It smells like me but not." He stuck his head in and looked around before pulling it back out and inserting his paw, raking his claws against the ground and dragging everything out.
He turned to see what he pulled out, his tail knocking over the wea structure. "Damn it!" He glared at the fallen structure before he began to sort carefully through the figurines scales, jewelry and other odds and ends. He looked up and over at Skyler, "What are these?"

They both blinked and the smaller one fell into a fit of giggles. Her eyes squeezed shut he luaghed, holding her stomach with her clawed feet, trying to get the laughter under control.
The bigger one grinned and looked at Bridget, "It seems my sister finds our debt to you of one horse rather funny. Or the fact we probably won't pay it."

[glow=lightblue,2,300]Bridget[/size][/color][/glow][/font] I could not stand how they thought it was all funny. Me losing my kill was funny? I am not laughing. "So I am suposed to go back to my friends empty handed because you two flying kittens had to be idiots and fly around like you are the rulers of the Island?! Forget this I am not even going to bother." I said as I began to walk away hoping to find another kill to bring to the others so they would have something to eat. I walked away tail swishing lightly as I went off hoping they would not come after me and cause me more problems. Life is hard enough when you have a hard time finding the right things to say to your own brother.

“Probably some of your mum’s leavings, she was here before you,” he told Duncan feeling his heart grow cold and sensitive.
Skyler’s ears fell when he had been returned with the message he had wished not to hear from Natalie. Hopefully while he was scouting he’d find Kaitey among the tangle of trees or on the sand flats. As he wove in and out the trees he collected pieces of moist new wood for the hut and dryer twigs and stick for tonight’s fire. He made his way through the undergrowth, the pile in his arms beginning to swell. As his hands absently plucked the wood from the ground, his mind began to wander. As a monkey screeched from the trees it sent a spark through his mind. He winced feeling himself cry out at Corbin in his ears. Now he had asked, he kept himself wondering, and every time it made his stomach pang. Suddenly he felt the weight like the world on his shoulders. He hadn’t thought about this in a while, it made the elk-boy heart sick, home sick. He had it all, a home and family. Now he was on some undiscovered island fending for his life. It was him and a handful of others against all odds of becoming free again. Even if he didn’t see the light at the end of this winding and never ending tunnel he still fought with everything he had.
It was late in the day, and the humidity by now was overpowering even in the shade of the trees the hot muggy air was suffocating. The breeze had died down, and everything seemed still waiting for the cool of night. He felt his throat begin to urge for water, and sweat lined his face. He was definitely not raised in any kind of heat like this. A hot day back home was in the 70’s. Even through his dusky skin his features were flushed. He unbuttoned his shirt, and tied it around his waist, the air on his chest felt somewhat relieving instead of the warm fabric. Although he knew he would adapt soon, and it would only be a matter of time until he grew accustomed to this place again. The temperature began to make his head buzz. He decided to take a rest, he sat with his back to the tree, head and crown bowed forward, bangs shading his eyes. His body felt drowned, but his mind was still swimming.
I’ve always kept the bad and the ugly possibilities in the back of my mind. It’s sorta like crossing your fingers. If there’s a one in a hundred chance, then I’m taking that chance. My dad is good as gone, my brother had a death wish, and mum well…I don’t know. I remember trying every payphone, with every number that could find me my mum. The ring tone would always sing its last coda, and would be interrupted with the recording. You’ve reached the Pinecone rancho relaxo. Leave a message at the tone… I began to start a relationship with the message machine. And uncle Greg, he was hiding something that stupid drunk, should have offered another Samuel Adams to ease him up. Sometimes I’d like to think mum didn’t answer the phone because she was out grocery shopping, training the dogs, or on a walk through the woods.
Skyler sighed, his moss colored eyes heavy on the ground in front of his feet. He took a deep breath sucking in the moist air. The boy got warily to his feet, he didn’t know what had hit his brain like that and dunked his head into those memories. Maybe he sensed something, he couldn’t put his finger on it. There was a presence among the tropical forest that fueled his strength. He began to carry the pile of branches back to camp. As he exited the maze of underbrush and overhangs he reached the huts and the collecting group again. He walked through the middle of them and dropped his pile by the largest hut. “Back ya’ll. Got some stuff for the fire and repairs if anyone wants to help me out,” he said plucking leaves and gunk from his antlers. He ducked his head going into the hut to see what needed some work. His eye caught something that reflected a dim glossy light, along with a slip of paper. He frowned and knelt down and picked it up and held in his fingers. He lifted the dim image to a ray of light that came through a space in the wall. As soon as the beam hit the photo he gasped. He traced their faces with his finger in hopes of feeling the warmth that seemed to radiate off it. It was an old family photo. There was his mother, father, and himself seated on his brother, Vazzly’s, lap when he was around seven or so, their faces bright. He let out a gasp, and he felt a convulsion of a shiver rapidly race through his veins. Skyler flipped the photo over. There was a sticky note on it. Meet me in the woods behind the lake by the redwood tree tomorrow morning… Skyler turned the photo back over again, frowning. Brandon tried this once before with his guitar, it couldn’t be. Not again, he shouldn’t get his hopes up. There wasn’t even a name left with note. It infuriated him that someone would try to lure him with sensitive things like these. And how could someone be so cold, to take what meant so much to him and use it against him. But then again it intrigued him, and something told him to meet this person when they requested. But then again, he’d be stupid to fall into the same trap. This was something personal yet he didn’t want to do it alone. He needed someone like Will or another individual he could trust to have his back when he met this person.
--
Brandon made his way up the steps towards the alpha center, what would Marrisa think? He was testing himself, was he truly cured of his lust? What would he do when he entered those doors? He was stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and was met with piercing ice blue eyes. “Who are you?” he inquired. This was a face he had not seen yet, his tail swished side to side. Her gaze seemed to burst through him and beyond. “Hello Brandon. I don’t think we’ve properly met. I’m Tori,” she said introducing the both of them. The cogs were turning in her head, and her chapped lips pulled into a grin up to her ears, a tooth jutting over her lip. “How about a good handshake?” she said forcing her hand into his. Brandon tensed as her knuckles turned white as she clutched his palm. The tiger-boy looked bewildered at her, with the strength that she held. “What are you doi-” he cut off when the muzzle of a gun was forced into his cheek. “You know…Brandon I don’t think you and I are going to work out…you’re not even on our team. It’s complicated…you know…think of it as an office, politics…I’m afraid—”Brandon growled and threw his leg up to high kick her off him, but Tori grabbed his leg flipping him onto the stairs. Brandon fell roughly onto his back with a grunt. Tori held the gun between his eyes as she walked over to him boots clicking as she walked over to him. “Stay down, pussycatcat cat, or I’ll blow your brains out. Haha!” she claimed. The raven-dragon girl saddled herself on top of Brandon legs on either side of him. “I’ve never met you! What do you want from me!? You’re fucking insane!” “Don’t worry, I won’t shoot you…” “You wouldn’t?” “Of course not! That would be too easy!” she said lifting the arm with the hand gun. Then she brought the gun back down with all the force she could muster up. The metal bashed into Brandon’s head, inflicting a deep slice through his scalp. Brandon let out a short cry, his head falling to one side, eyes closed, unconscious. “Oh I’m so sorry! I don’t know what came over me! Oh but it felt so good! Forgive me for this Brandon!” she laughed out, squeezing the male’s cheeks and roughly raking her fingers through his red hair. She continued to smash the life out of his face until it was nearly mutilated. Scarlet splashes of blood stained her hands and face. She licked the blood that was around the corners of her mouth. “Victory is sweet, even if their death is bitter,” she said smirking. She got up off the body and started make her own way up the stairs but then paused. She turned around to look at the nearly faceless body. “Better to be a no face, then a two face isn’t it?!” she looked at the gun in her hand smothered in blood and pieces of skin and flesh. “I knew I brought this thing here for a reason…I feel old already…oh wait I remember…” she said cocking the gun and then shot the tiger boy’s gut. “Hm…I don’t think the neighbor’s would like the welcome mat…” she said picking the body up by the pits and began to take the body to be disposed of.
--
Skyler exited the hut his features mixed. Confused, worried, and even stressed. He couldn’t think about the hut or fire right now. He broke several yards away from the group and sat on the log staring at the picture, eyes glancing at the group every now again for a faithful face.

Jesse couldn’t help but smiling at Evie as she peered around Rook’s leg, it was so cute. But his brown eyes immediately returned to Rook as the young woman spoke. His ears fell back slightly, didn’t she know where she was? Fabulous, the first people he met and they were lost and all. “I’m pretty new to all of this,” he admitted, still moving forward at a steady pace. The gap between him and the girls was closing to the point where he would only need to take a few bear sized leaps forward to reach them. Here, he stopped. He didn’t want the girls to have to back up if they were uncomfortable with the space. He was sympathetic to Rook’s protectiveness and wasn’t about to push his boundaries, after all, he had no reason to. They could hear each other perfectly fine over this distance. He sat down, his great haunches flopping against the sand, sending up a small cloud of gold into the air as he did so. He watched the two females curiously. “I’m Jesse,” he said after a moment’s pause. “And I’m a tad… stuck,” he admitted, shaking his shaggy head, sending sand flying from his fur. “In this form, I mean. I shifted out of instinct and have no idea how to shift back, don’t suppose you know how, it’s boiling in this heat.”

Corbin glanced over at Jack and Dreamcaster, a knowing smile hidden by a mass of stubble. One ear was on the conversation the pair were having, wondering how Jack was going to handle it all, making sure that the man wasn’t about to try and break his Granddaughter out. The other ear on Damien. “So, tell me, Damien, how’s Twilight likely to react once she knows you’re missing?” he wasn’t trying to wind Damien up, honestly, but he was curious to know what Damien thought would happen. If reports from Cassandra were correct, Twilight would most likely be having a fit.

" I think...She would probably be going crazy and end up trying to break in to get me o-Oh god ,"Damien began to say, until realization hit him. Twilight was going to get captured or break in and then be captured. And that really wasn't something he wanted to happen. (Damn brain death, sorry >.<)

[glow=black,20,300]Twilight[/glow] I flew around the labratory looking for a way in. Something I knew would be not quite as hard as getting back out if I would ever get out. I just knew I 'Had' to get in. Why I had just started singing a song I had never heard of and made up I did not know but I knew what it had to do with. The male's in my life that were no longer in my life. Roxius, Cassius, and Haseo. All people in my life that had hurt me or left me or just up and died or vanished.
As I flew about the lab not seeing any way in I landed in the trees near the lab and sat looking at the two objects in my hand from my past thinking about how much I wanted to just throw them away to forget. But I couldn't no matter how much I tried and it was starting to no longer matter. I have my friends and Damien if he's--. I looked down at the thought and shivered. To get my mind off it I continued to sing the song that played in my head over and over. "I can't sleep when all I can think about is them, I'm breakin' apart all that I can, I tried to forget, I tried to move on, But all I can do is call thier name into night,
Waiting on a simple whisper, I loved your smile, I loved your body protecting mine, I loved the sweet nothings you said to me, But I'm done, I can't take this any more,
You are not the one, though you keep pulling me, I'm fighting inside to leave you behind, I'm done, I have cried my last tears, The fears of them leaving me are gone, But yet I hold on to thier memories, as tight as I can,
Good night, Good bye, Your time is over, Your time is up, I am fead up, with all this pain you've built up!
So the pain stays in my heart, Though I try to forget, I try to move on, But all I can do is scream into the night,
I miss you, I loved your smile, I loved your body protecting mine, I loved the sweet nothings you said to me, But I'm done, I can't take this any more, Good night, Good bye." [/size][/b]

“Sing if you must! Sing if you might! Your soft broken hearts and melted dishelved brains lead me right to you!” she sang. Tori’s eyes like little blue sparkling flares glanced about the trees for the discontented voice. Sometimes she couldn’t believe the stupidity someone could obtain by singing aloud outside the lab. She smiled wickedly letting her monster of form begin to engulf her body. Soon she was what every living sole would fear or learn to fear. “How your heart woes! Let me stomp on your toe! And you will cry of that, no!” she screeched her beak gnashing, anticipating the flesh it would soon slice, or crush. She snapped open her scrawny ebony wings and launched off from the ground, spying the black and white speckled wings perched with a form on a branch in the thicket of green. She spread her steak knife claws waiting for them to land into the spine of the experiment.

[glow=black,20,800]Twilight[/glow] I turned to see a large black form heading for me and I jumped out of the tree flapping hard taking flight to get out of the way of the massive sickle like claws of the beast that was heading at me. I almost let out a scream but I kept my mouth shut as to not atract more attention which would most likely end up finding me making my plan harder. But this experiment seemed either psyco or out for a fight. Something I was not planning on. I just wanted to get Damien or atleast be with him. I flew out of the way dodging my own talons growing from my hands to protect me. "Mock me you may, break my you may not. I will not scream for your delight. Okay why the heck am I still talking like this. What do you want?!" I said as I flew making sure to stay out of reach. I considered shifting to my harpy eagle form to alow myself a better way to fly around rather then my not to nimble human form.

“Leave the poetry and prose to me honey!” she called out her voice obscured from the beak and sharp teeth. “What I want, would only be you!” she cawed her muscular body preparing for flight wings beating with all their might to gain altitude. She cleared past the small harpy eagle and flew upward at a zero degree angle. Then she maneuvered her entire body the end of her beak pointing for the ground. She pulled her wings close against her body and dived bombed Twilight gaining speed with every gain foot at a frightening speed, again clothes and beak poised to meet the flesh. Whether she had hit or missed Tori steered up away from the dead of the ground and veered upward to see if she had struck the bird.

[glow=black,20,800]Twilight[/glow] I rolled my eyes as best I could in my harpy eagle form and as I saw her coming at me from above I tried to dodge but she still ended up hitting my wing. God how it hurt I could still fly but I saw blood and some feathers fall as I moved out of the way. I flew toward her now my wings folded and claws extended as I aimed to draw blood from my attacker now. "Fine keep your silly poetry but I would like to keep my life!" I yelled over the air current as I dived at her back. I was not going to let this person rip me to peices besides she drew first blood. I have to repay her for her actions.

Tori let out a victorious screech that could split someone’s eardrums from a mile away. She could see that this battle soon be over. They may not be out numbered but Twilight was outsized one to five. The harpy eagle was speeding right into her bloody clutches that could recreate hell itself. As the claws were about six inches away from her face she snapped her face the other way and caged the bird in her long curved claws closing the knives around the fragile body. Then she dived down skimming the earth and letting the bird’s body grind against the dirt and pebbles of the ground before dropping the mass of feathers and blood.

[glow=black,20,800]Twilight[/glow] I had fallen into the person's trap! I tried to get free from the cage like claws around me but soon I was being dragged through the dirt and stone. I let out a equally loud screech of pain. My chest burned and all I could think of was I was gonna die. I closed my eyes unable to move the pain over powering from the pain in my wing tip to the pain in my chest. I tried to keep my breathing even as I forced myslef to stay awake.

Tori finally landed and politely stepped off of the near carcass that had implanted in the dust. She morphed to human and dusted off her leather pants and jacket as well as her hands, despite were still dark with maroon stains. “Today has been rather productive I must say,” she said picking up the eagle by a mangled wing, which was limp and almost lifeless in her grasp. She turned the bird over and grasped its legs like slaughtered poultry and paced back to the lab, taking her sweet ole’ time to the cage room whistling a tune from an old show she couldn’t put her finger on. She kicked open the doors after it had scanned her fingerprint. She walked through the white-washed halls. Here everything was in order. It was free of any meandering experiments, and was kept quite orderly. She opened the door to the new cage room. It looked very different from the one in LA. This was free of locks, cards, rusting metal, and clunky devices. This one was sleek and precise. She opened one of the glass cages and dropped Twilight into the bottom and sealed the cage shut. “Well that’s done.”

[glow=black,20,800]Twilight[/glow] I was unknowingly taken from the cage room into a medical room. They cleaned and tended to my wounds. I began to wake and I looked up at the man standing over me with another person next to him. My vision was blurred as I tried to focus on the face above me until it began to give me a headache and gave up. I began to focus on his voice that seemed deeply familiar to me. I tried to say the man's name but my words seemed to just slur on my tongue. I managed to look and see the out line of a IV stand and other machines. "Is that a image of a child? What is that on my belly? Sure I have been felling weird, and been gaining weight but...." I thought my mind cloudy. The person next to the man slowly began to come into focus. No it is not Julie, Is there more people here? What is going on? What do they have me hooked up to? Are they monitoring my thoughts is this some kind of new hallucinating thing they have? What is happening to me? I wanted to scream the questions but they just came out in low mumbling noises. I wanted to move but I was strapped down my hand clenching the side of the medical bed. I was lightly shaking as I realized she was in a medical paper dress. I felt a person who's face was blurred by my eyes being wacky from what ever was happening to me at the moment press something on my still sore belly. At least there was not a lot of painful prodding that normally happened by Cassandra's doing. Vincent looked her over running something over her belly looking at a screen at a baby the first they got to look at it being some one forgot to check on Twilight when she first came in. Julie was most likely to be blamed as she did a good amount of the releasing with the Alphas. Well there were still a few miscommunications yet being under new management and all. As Vincent continued he smiled but then he noticed something wrong. The breathing and movements of the child were seeming to slow. "No, No, don't show me that!" Vincent said loudly as he grew angered that the screen was not pleasing him. "Wait it is moving again it must have just been the monitor." He calmed some. He knew the time would be soon very soon. He had calculated it all. I blinked sleepily the yelling made me open my eyes but they still would not me see things clearly. I moved my head jerkily back and forth to try to see what was going on. My fear level going up more as I listened to the distress in his voice. "What is going on?" I finally managed to say. But they just ignored me I wanted to badly just punch the man. But then I nearly screamed but it came out as a cry of pain. I felt the area by my legs get wet and my eyes went wide with fear. I kept thinking they had cut me open. I began to hyperventilate. "Oh my god what is going on?!" I said loudly scared. Vincent smiled as he saw Twilight's water broke. "It's happening!" He nearly yelled with joy like Twilight was his daughter and he had the joy of seeing her have her baby. He let a woman step over and hold Twilight's hand a crude smile on his face. "You are having a child my dear." Vincent said in a voice that would creep any one out. The woman just kept saying, "Deep even breaths and push." Over and over again. I obeyed though when I heard what the man had said I nearly stopped breathing all together. A baby?! I am giving birth?! I did my best to listen to the woman giving me orders. I tried to keep my breathing even as I pushed when she said to. Soon the woman was lifting a child up and wrapping it up. I watched as she cleaned the little child that I had just brought into the world. Why me? I knew they would just do painful tests on it if it was not born with wings like me. Once the child was clean I was able to hold it. I looked at the small boy in my arms. The child's eyes closed and hiding the eye color from me. I was shaking still but had a smile on my face. I had did this. I had had a child. The things around me seemed to fade as I kept my eyes on my child. I was glad my arms were free even if my legs were not. I held my child close wishing it had happened under different conditions but it did not matter. Only the fact that he was in my arms. Vincent snapped my attention back though as he spoke. "My dear you must be proud but I must now take the child." Vincent said sternly but I shook my head and held my baby close. "You may have made me have a child but he is still mine." I said sternly but as I looked down at my child I noticed something was wrong. The room seemed to become deathly silent as even Vincent bit his tongue as I looked down at my child with wide eyes and keen ears. His heart beat. It is too slow. He is hardly breathing. He is dieing! "Save him! He is dieing!" I yelled loudly tears growing in my eyes. I watched as Vincent looked at my baby boy and took him in his blanket. He went over to the nurse but the nurse shook her head. Then the words that I did not want to hear rang out lowly but seemed like a explosion in my ears. "Sorry Sir. He can't be saved. He has a missing lung and his heart is too small to help him make it through a surgery. He is not going to make it. Correction. Sir. He is dead." The woman looked down and left taking my dead child with her. I screamed and cried trying to get out of the bed that still was stained with my blood from giving birth. I was lifted up in a shaking heap by Vincent and he took me to get cleaned up. I just kept the image of my child in my mind. The motherly joy that seemed to have taken over me. That feeling was what I was clinging to now. That gave me hope and determination to survive. My poor baby.... I did not even get to name him..... I just sat motionless but for my breathing in the tub as Vincent cleaned me off. I wanted to badly just run and hide but I could not move. I tried but I couldn't. Once clean he walked me back to the cage room. I followed crying and shaking. He held me up so I would not fall over. I got into the cage and sat curled up mind distant. I knew Damien was not in the room with me I would have heard his voice of felt it in my gut. My little baby had wings too. I had saw them small and bare. But he had them. Oh my child. How precious he was even while his fragile life only lasted a few minutes I was glad he had been in my arms for them. I now knew I could be a mother. How good of one I would not yet know but I now knew I have it in me. Having the child also snapped things into focus on how fragile life, family, and friends were. I have to change what I am doing. Starting today.

-- Rook Lancet
She smiled, new people were always a welcome sight, even if it was slightly tragic. "I'm Rook." She said, grinning more broadly as she sat down in the sand, pulling Evie back by her tail, who shifted form to make herself much heavier, digging her feline claws into the ground, grumbling as she fought to go and play. "You'll get used to it, It's quite easy one you know how." Rook said, running her hand through her rather unkempt hair. the impromptue landing in the sand hadn't done much to soften her rather wild appearance. "You have to focus to start with. Just think about becoming human again, and eventually you'll get there. Same goes for the other way. Like this." She said, as she spread her wings behind her, shrinking down into the small, clearly vulnerable rook form, standing like bait in front of the enormous bear, her amber eyes still watching the predator without a hint of fear.
-- Elliott Cartwright
"Hello?" Her voice echoed down the empty corridor of the vacated Los Angeles building. It was strangely eerie, here in the dark, with the hollow sould of footsteps behind her the only signal that she may not be alone. Perhaps her brother was still around...? "Johnathan?" She walked towards the wall, her thin fingers tracing over the whitewashed stone, turning the corner. They saw her, the guards, shining their flashlight in her eyes. "Identify yourself!" They barked, Elliott wincing as the bulbs struck through her steel grey irises. "Ahh... Elliott Cartwright, I work here, where the hell is everyone?" She asked, frowning as se stepped forwards. "Cartwright, Elliott Alexandria. Confirm that is your name." They said, and she frowned. How did they know that? "Er... yeah, that's right." She said, standing in the very centre of the corridor, her white t-shirt and boots luminated like ghosts in the half light. "We have instructions to remove you from your position, you are a valid subject for experimentation. Employee cutbacks. We cannot release you into civilisation, so you will be subjected to animal testing." They said. "What?" They ran at her, and she got the message, dashing in the other direction around the corner, gunfire going off barely inches behind her ankle. Her heart was caught in her throat, her breath ragged as she tore around the next corner. Agun rang out, a sharp pain cut through the back of her knee and she fell, with excruciating pain, her head collided with the door frame, and everything went black.
She awoke, blinking curiously as she lifted her head, the world blurry as she put her hand forwards into the long grass... grass? And wait a minute...
Her fingers were long, there were four of them instead of five, they were furry and black and seemingly without a palm between them and the wrist. Her arm was grey, and equally hairy... and she could see down her nose. That wasn't a human nose. Her fingers dashed up to touch it, and she felt herself stumble sideways, and peer up at the enormous trees. Hold up, they weren't that big... they were just normal trees. She was smaller. Se climbed the nearest one, rather quickly as well, her tail very useful. Tail... wait, what? She flicked it around in front of her eyes, the black and white stripes telling her what she had become. "Oh my god..." She scurried to the top branches, looking out at the sea. This wasn't Los Angeles, and this wasn't her body. Overnight, Elliott Cartwright had become a ring-tailed lemur.
