Sasha's ears perked and she began to head toward the person who called to her. "Yes, yes I am." She said still walking on twos. She looked around ears swiveling and listening into the other sounds around them. "Do you know where we are?" Sasha asked the look in her eyes were of concern and loneliness. She looked around wanting to see Seth heading her way.

Marrisa smiled in greeting, walking forward so that they could converse. Her face didn't ring any bells, she was probably a more recent experiment. "Yes, been here done that. the scientists move us every once in a while. We were here about a year and a half ago. I'd actually prefer this than Los Angeles any day. Here you have a little more DNA freedom, as you have already taken advantage of," said Marrisa. She rarely ever got a chance to morph in the city. It was rather bothersome, knowing you had something great inside, that could not be unleashed. Her seemingly pupiless eyes studied the older female, but felt no smaller. "You're waiting for someone. Who would it be you're waiting for?" she asked out of curiosity. The opposite could probably feel her sensitive eyes over actively picking up social cues. He eyebrows rose a little when she realised they both were missing somehting. Names. "Well I'm Marrisa," she said offering another smile with her thin lips.

"I am Sasha. I was looking for my friend Seth. It was so sudden when we were attacked by them. We had no idea even they knew where we were." She looked down and shifted human her hair the same as in her wolf form and she also kept her ears. She let a small smile be fall her features. Her light golden eyes looked lightly over Marrisa. "So...um... Where is here?" She asked wanting to get a bit of info on where she was. Just maybe it would help her find her friend.

"Nice to meet you Sasha. Don't think I've met him either. I didn't spend much time with the rebels as much as I should have while we were in the city. Seems we've pretty scattered all over the place. It won't be long until we meet up with the others. It's not too huge of a place," she said eyes remembering the landmarks. "I don't even know. It's just...the Island. Sounds like a start of a cliche TV series. I don't think we're supposed to know..." she said witha small gulp. The thought was eerie. "And there's no way off it. You can hide but you can't run," she said walking past Sasha towards the trees but kept a trail not too far inland so they had a good watch over the clear beach.

Sasha followed shifting to her wolf form. "You mean we are some place in the middle of some ocean who knows where? Thats just peachy." She grunted. She looked around taking in land marks of her own that would be easy for her to remember. "So you have been here before?" She asked starting to grow more interested in learning about the main group Seth and her never really met.

"Obviously the scientists made it top-secret for a reason. Sometimes I wonder if humans would fight back for our sake, if they only knew. To help you understand what kind of dilemma we're in...We're basically lab mice scurrying through the scientist's maze as they watch which trap doors kill us and which don't. None of the experiments know where the hell we are anyway. Even if we did know, it would still be pretty hopeless," said Marrisa pushing aside plants as they walked. The two approached the water inlet, the grass growing scarce until the sad was moist. Marrisa knelt down to splash and sip some water that was flowing out from the island so it must had been fresh snow melt. "Yeah, I'm sure our camp is either crumbling or washed away... we should start rebuilding soon. Let's go find it, I have a feeling the others familiar with this place will gravitate toward it," she explained glancing at Sasha to see if she was soaking all of this up.

"Okay let me just drink real quick." Sasha said as she joined in drinking for a moment before standing. She was a bit wary and the small rustle had startled her not used to living in a place as wild as this. She began to follow after Marrisa as she walked toward the old Camp that Sasha would get to see for the first time.

[glow=purple,2,300]The Twins[/glow]
A sweeping wind flew over the grass, pushing most of it flat, as it broke into two streams, what ever creating it had obviously split up. The herd started into a disarray of confusion, but stayed in the one place, unable to run. Circling it were the two gusts, flatting the grass and blowing over small trees as the speed increased. Two blue flashing streaks hurtled through the air and there were bugles of terror. The air suddenly went still as smaller blue shapes came flying out of the circle, the current dropping as the forces creating it left.
Both blue beasts tackled some of the fat, fit animals in the center of the herd, each letting out a vicious growl. Clacking of beaks as claws racked into the hides of the animals, a powerful blow breaking each neck. The rest of the herd fled as the two poor souls that were targeted began to be devoured.
------------------------------------------------------- [glow=orange,2,300]Duncan[/glow]
The dragon cocked his head to the side, bewildered that the item of interest he had been sniffing disappeared. He watched it run off then return with water. As it ran off again Duncan got up and loped after it, his tail swinging from side to side, leaving a trail of destruction and a deep grove in the ground.
Focusing on Skyler, Duncan followed at a decent pace, soon catching up to the elk injected. With a dragonish grin he looked over to the experiment running next to him and hurred, "Skyler!" Just because Duncan was physically 17 in human structure, he often varied between the mentality of a toddler and a teen. Right now he was in the toddler area.

Bridget growled as the horse she was after got away as two gryphons attacked the same herd. She was blown back some and was laying on her back in the grass that was still pressed down from the creatures gusting about. She growled and got up looking over at the feasting pair whom she has never seen before. She was just glad she was not one of those horses. But she was also mad she had lost her lunch she was going to bring back to the others and being not the best runner she would not be able to catch up to the horses. Bridget stood growling and tail lashing as she watched the pair from a distance maybe she would be lucky enough to get a few scraps for herself to give her energy to see if she could catch something.

Th elk-boy laughed. As they ran he Skyler pushed on the dragon's neck teasingly. "Duncan! You crazy reptile!" he cried out. Although something made him slow to a jog to a power walk. He frowned looking around, something about this place seemed familar. His expression went from spirited to focused. He rubbed his chin following the faint mental map of the place he still had in his head. "Hey...I think we're at the old camp..." he said walking a scrapy looking hut made of flimsy wood. The planks of wood had spaces between them from the high tides, and it had been completely overgrown with vines and wildflowers. The hut looked errie and dark. "Duncan, keep my back would yah?" he said slowly, hesitantly approaching the mangled building. He grabbed the rusted handle and yanked the door open. The door fell off with the force and Skyler stumbled backwards into the sand. Then there seemed to be a black cloud that swarmed from inside. The male screamed in alarm as the bats rushed out from inside their wings slicing past his face, sqeeks and shrills filling his sensitive ears. As the mass of awakened bats cleared, Skyler looked back at Duncan wide eyed his heart still beating wildy. "I guess the neighbors moved in...."
---
Marrisa looked up, smirking and then looked at Sasha. "We head North west," she said changing direction and confidently lead the way. "That was probably Skyler, he screams like a girl," she said. It also sounded like the holler had come in the general direction of the old camp.

Sasha's ears perked as she heard it too. She began to trot a bit fast next to Marrisa. "Well that helps some." She said as she half went into tracking mode which she hardly did but being here seemed to switch something on in her. She was on fours now looking around as she followed Marrisa like a hunting dog would a hunter untill ordered to go off.

Duncan stopped, watching Skyler as the elk opened the door. The bats came streaming out. He started to laugh at Skyler, he tried to snap one out of the air in good fun. That was until one flew into his face and clung to his nose. He stared eye to eye with at, shaking his head and snorting as the small mammal stayed attached to his ragged scales. He began to growl, then whine as the thing wouldn't be shaken. Scratching at his face he finally looked at Skyler, pouting almost as the bat continued to leave its wings around the dragon's snout.
--------------------------------------
The griffins paused, hearing the growl. They slowly moved off the two carcasses, only half eaten. Licking their beaks to take off some of the blood the two blue griffins advanced on the snow leopard. "what do we have here?' hissed the larger one.
The smaller one giggled and clacked back, "I think it's an angry kitty. Did we chase away your dinner?" Her tail curled in the air, he beak out stretched, the point curved menacingly.

Skyler got up brushing his pants off, grinning at Duncan. "It seems to like you, or it thinks your fat face is a tree," he said as the dragon began to shake its head the small leathery and furry animal clinging to its rough skin that was easy to hold fast to. Duncan was visibly nervous of the small animal as it brought its clawed feet. It was rather amusing that something ten times smaller than Duncan could impose him. Skyler picked up a stick, and prodded the small bat claws still sticking to his skin. "This little bugger doesn't want to let go..." finally he plucked the small mammal off. His eyes widened in worry, there was a little spot of blood on the dragon's snout. "It was a vampire bat...those varmints are disgusting. I hope it didn't give you anything in return for that drink. You better get that clean, go stick your nose in the water," he informed Duncan asking himself what Will would do.
Marrisa waved from afar as they approached Skyler sensed the movement from the corner of his eye. He turned around and waved hem forward. "Hey Marrisa and friends!" he said to the two girls. He didn't recognize the wolf girl. The antlered boy hoped she was one of the decent experiments with some control.

Twilight looked from Jo to Will and the wolves. Feeling now was not the time to bother him she turned around and took off into the air once again. She looked around and flew over toward the jungle again. She flaped her gray wings as she looked around she flew around for a bit but then seeing a water fall that sparked something in her she circled to land. Twilight landed with a few short running steps and looked around as she folded her wings. She walked over to the edge of the water looking around a confused look in her hazel eyes. She then knelt down seeing something on the ground that shone dully. She picked up a half dollar sized sky blue scale that had a bit of moss on it. She cleaned it off and put it in her pocket sure that Will would like to give it to one of the dragon kids. She then found a black scale from Duke and pocketed it as well. She shifted to her harpy form as it was easier to take off in that form from a small area. She flew out over the land her eagle eyes looking at the lay out of the land that was once familuar to her but not too much so now as some things have changed.
Twilight began to fly toward the old lab building area and as she landed she looked around at the twisted remains of metal and stone. She walked around it now in her human form. She found a few areas that just flooded her with memories and thoughts. She fell to her knees cutting her palms a bit but not badly on the rock. She let her hair just drape around her as she lightly shook goose bumps all along her skin and feathers ruffled. She curled into a heap of gray feathers blending right in with the stone rubble. She was kneeling infront of a busted cage with a metal tag half worn with her number and name on it still. She then looked up and found a bit of her freash blood had dripped on it covering a bit more of her name. She jumped up stumbling on the rubble as she climbed to the highest part of it. She stood carefully on the old stone and metal her eyes solem. Her breath was short and labored as she looked around and that was when she saw the new one not far off with her keen sight. She shivered as she saw how much more high tech it was and then it hit her like a ton of bricks. Damien would have found her flying around as she was and by her screeching. He must be in that high tech prison of a labratory.

Duncan's eyes widen in relief as the animal was removed from his snout. Though when Skyler mentioned blood he hurried off to the stream near by. Looking back at Skyler once her dunked his whole head under water and elt out a stream of bubbles. Lifting it back up he looked at Skyler again, head tilted, water dripping from his chin, scales and horns.

Bridget looked from one to the other her fur rising as she growled. She held her ground though the look of the two in front of her was scaring her. She bared her teeth in return to the two's remarks. She did not shift human as much as he body told her to. Her eyes like lilacs locked on the two blue gryphons. "You owe me a horse!" She growled loudly surprising herself with the remark she made. -------------------- Sasha waved a paw as she walked up right now. She watched as the large dragon had a problem with a bat on its nose. She held back a small giggle it was funny seeing a fire breathing beast having such a problem. She was intimidated by it but the way it was acting told her it may be a young one.

Natalie rolled over of the warm sand with a grunt. Apparently they had released her. Thank god. Saved her the trouble of actually trying to escape. But, even though she was somewhere else, that pained still coursed through her body the way it had done in the cage. The injected rose on shaky legs, occasionally stumbling as she tried to pick up the foriegn movement of walking again. The pulling of her skin irritated the dark, heavy bruises scattered across her side and halfway up her neck. Natalie cringed a couple of times before sturdying, finally being able to observe her surroundings from the shade. It was MUCh nicer than L.A, as was the air quality. Even through her first seconds of being out there, it was obvious that this place was hidden by the sea, and not touched by the government or builders. Apparently, that was an exception for USASI.
The soon familiar sound of Skyler's voice was picked up through her sensitive ears as she made her way, slowly, to place where he had been standing. "Polo..." she grumbled, a bit too late, as Natlie began to follow the trail. If meeting up with anybody on this island, she wanted it to be somebody she partially knew. Then again, she picked up another male voice, seemingly older than Skyler's, but with a childish tone. 'What the hell..?' she thought to herself, mind filled with confusion. Well, anything to ignore the seething pain. "It was a vampire bat...those varmints are disgusting. I hope it didn't give you anything in return for that drink. You better get that clean, go stick your nose in the water," Natalie gave a wry smile, as she soon approached the two. "Disgusting? Oh please..." She scoffed, like she'd been there the whole time. She gently took the small bat into her hands, from the stick it had been plucked off from. Of course, it only saw her as the same thing, and there fore tried top communicate. Apparently it wanted blood. "Well no shit that's what you want, but you can't have it here.." She clicked back, giving it a gentle throw in the air, and watched as it fluttered off.
--Okay, yeah. I talk to bats. Big deal. I'm practically the same species, so get over it. Oh great, more people coming. More people to come see how I screwed my body up by bashing against a cage for hours on end. Just perfect.

Skyler watched Duncan with amusement, instead he had submerged his entire head. He waited for Marrisa and Sasha to make their way over the sand. "Good to see yah Bambi," greeted Marrisa. "Sasha this is Skyler, Skyler this is Sasha, and that over there is Duncan. Now we all know eachother, or mostly everyone," she said sitting down on a rock and then quitely began to watch everybody.
The elk-boy turned around when he heard a reply to his rash comment. Finally he had seen the voice to match the face. Natalie looked pretty beat up now that he had a chance to look her up and down. "I don't know Nat, you're pretty revolting too sometimes," he scoffed ears quirked cockily. His moss and soil colored eyes needled the vampire bat girl. "You take a bite out of any of my friends, and you're asking for it," he warned, unimformed about how much control she had over her cravings. Marrisa piped up at the rather empty threat. "Sky, I think anyone that's litteraly bone headed and gets his butt kicked everytime shouldn't be making the shots," she reminded the boy. Skyler glared at her, shoulders sagging. "Well then I have your big elephant ass on my side then," "I wouldn't be so sure about that," sneered Marrisa forcing herself to keep under control and not pulverize Skyler.

Natalie gave a small smile as the glanced back at the dragon. Good to see yah Bambi," This made her smile. "Bambi?" the injected questioned, an amused grin played upon her lips. It probably wasn't the best time to be cocky and sarcastic, but Natalie was like that anywhere. Though she did see that in a fight, she would be highly outnumbered and outsized.
"I don't know Nat, you're pretty revolting too sometimes," Natalie rolled her eyes. Psh, you hardly know me." she scoffed back, raising an eyebrow at the cockily flick of his ears. "You take a bite out of any of my friends, and you're asking for it," The vampire injected sighed. "Lets review, shall we? One, I don't 'take a bite out of people". Two, I'm REALLY sure that would could injure me alone. ANd finally, Three, you had your face cut open in front of a NEWLY injected with vampire bat DNA. What was I supposed to do, sit there and let myself suffer while you just let your face bleed out?" She stated, but gave a small grin when the darker-haired girl spoke up. Elephant DNA? How.. creative. She stayed silent though, resting herself against the nearby tree that sat happily behind her.

Duncan saw more people and chirped, lumbering over to sit on his haunches, he legs in rather disarray as he attempted to sit as a dog would. He grinned, tongue hanging from the side of his mouth. He heard his name and nodded, "Duncan." He seemed to finalize as he watched the girl who talked to the thing that bit him. He caught the words bite, blood, bad. He growled at her, thinking she was the source of the trouble.
Duncan was basically, at the moment, a large, stupid gaurd dog. Or at least he thought that was his role.
