A small cheeky smirk plucked the elder male’s lips as he saw Skyler’s eyes light up at the sight of him. It was nice to know he was missed after all. His ears perked forward, the loss of his dinner briefly forgotten as the elk began his approach; arms spread to envelope him in a hug. He waited, grin on his lips, and his amusement bubbled up behind his eyes. This was let loose into loud laughter as that approach came a grinding halt and hasty retreat at the sight of the skinny wolves behind him. Really not much of a threat to a heavy set elk with antlers and hard hooves. But of course, Skyler was the fight or flight type, no thinking option considered. His laughter died down as he sat at the edge of the forest, seemingly, like his companions, reluctant to step out into the open fields, they made him, to say the least, uneasy. His head cocked lightly to the side, tail flicking as the wolves padded behind him, stepping away and sitting nearby, watching them with fiery amber eyes however. “I suppose I have” he agreed with a smile. “but they found me, followed me since I woke up, guess they detect a male that can look after them…I swear it’s a woman thing” he said with a dramatic sigh. “They won’t hurt you” he prompted.

Skyler felt the bridge of his nose wrinkle when Will broke out in laughter, ears pinned back feeling irked and embarrassed. He crossed his arms, side glancing behind him to those who might be watching. Although he had to admit it probably looked ridiculous, a small grin began to show as it curled its way onto his lip that he tried hard to hide. “Damn Will, even females of a different species are attracted to you. I want whatever cologne you wear,” he teased. He fought the instinct that was like a subtle voice in his head to gain distance from the thin predators, but he trusted Will with his life. He took quick deliberate steps forward to get to his fond friend, sometimes a fatherly figure. At the last few feet between them he semi hopped in front of Will and jumped wrapping his arms around the cheetah-boy’s neck, head leaned back some although his antlers were currently covered in a thin layer of velvet. “Hello!” he said latching on, testing Will’s strength. “Good to have you back Quick-Silver,” he said nuzzling his chin into the crook of the opposite’s neck, it felt good to give some affection in a long while.

Will grinned, tail flicking lightly from side to side in a leisurely manner. Looking every bit the relaxed, good-looking young man he was. if not a tad more outdoorsy than usually from the mud scuffing the knees of his jeans. "And that's the secret right there, cologne, nasty horrible stuff" he said while wrinkling his nose. He smiled as the elk edged towards him, smiling as well, as he anticipated, it was hard to keep anything but a smile on the tanned boy's face. eyes glinting with amusement, strong, slender arms wound around the smaller body as he was pounced, easily supporting the lighter weight and adjusted him so he wouldn't drop the boy. chuckling gently as he was nuzzled, using his free hand to brush the boy's hair. "Missed me then?" he asked in a gentle, teasing voice. "Quicksilver? That's a new one" he mused, looking over to his sister and friend. "You just can't stay out of trouble, can you Jo? Did you scold me about that at one time? you're such a hypocrite" he smirked lightly, pointedly not dragging out the fact that Jo needed help, more the fact she was being her sassy, lets get into a fight self. Jo still harboured the pride will used to when a sense of weakness was involved. Will had no doubt Jo knew he would help, and he believed Jo deserved to at least have her dignity in preserved.

Bridget's ears were back as she watched the wolves. She looked to Jo and just stood in her leopard form. She looked to Will and sat tail curled in the air behind her. She looked to them but sighed. She felt something was off. She stood and walked off in to the thicker grass to see if she could find food.

Skyler closed his eyes as he felt Will ran his finger’s through his dark locks of hair, it was so close to what he felt in his reverie on the journey here. It was really comforting, he felt his shoulders drop, that he didn’t realize until now were tense. The elk-boy mindlessly flicked the metalic stud in Will’s ear. “Yeah just a bit,” he said sarcastically lifting his head off his shoulder to look the opposite in the speckled sapphire orbs. “Fits huh, Willy?” he said smirking deviously, knowing that would tick him off, but it was all good and fun. He twisted his neck around to look at the rest of the crew from up high in Will’s arms, raising an eyebrow. The tones of everyone was a bit mixed and displaced. The older male poked a little fun at Jo, he wasn’t sure he’d try that himself when the wild dog girl was a bit…off. He was expecting Bridget to at the least greet her brother, but she merely turned her back and began to stride away without another word. He glanced questioningly at Will, a question on his parted lips. The boy pushed his hands off of Will’s chest signaling he wanted down. “…Is there something between you two? Did I miss something?” he asked.

Jo came to a halt at Skyler's request, slowly sinking into a sitting position, her head swinging round to gently lick at the large scar running over her right shoulder. The taste of blood sent a shiver running down her spine, but she continued to lick the wound clean. She felt confident that Skyler would know of any danger long before it arrived, certainly in a place like this. So now she could take five minutes to give her wounds some attention. Her head lifted as Bridget joined the group, she dipped her head in greeting to the snow leopard, but didn’t say anything. Honestly, the less people that were around the better, in the wild dog’s opinion. Once her shoulder was clean, she lifted her front right paw, wincing as she did so, and began to lick at the smaller wounds along her leg and paw. She watched as Skyler ran over to Will, but didn’t look up properly until she heard her name. Her eyebrows raised, an unamused look crossed her face at the cheetah injected’s joke. She would have made a sarcastic, jokey reply if it had been said at any other time then now. But as it was, she wasn’t in the mood, and simply returned to cleaning the blood from her fur. But her head lifted again as Bridget soon slunk off, she frowned. She knew that the relationship between the siblings hadn’t always been smooth sailing. It had been pretty apparent when Demon had arrived back at the restaurant that the relationship between Bridget and Will was complicated. Jo sighed as she pulled herself up onto three paws, she was starting to feel venerable in the middle of the grass now that Skyler and Bridget had moved off a bit. She began to limp her way towards Will, Skyler and the three female wolves. A warning growl sounded from Jo as she stared at the wolves, telling them simply that she may be wounded, but they would end up worse off in a fight. Jo may be physically weak at that moment in time, but her sarcasm and vocal fighting ability could be drawn up any time it was needed. The wolves got the message and Jo grew silent again until she reached the elk boy and cheetah injected. She sat down once more and stared up at Will, a smirk slowly rolling onto her lips. “Hey Will,” she said, before she lay down at the slightly more sheltered area. If she had known they were going to be thrown into the wilderness, she never would have trashed that injection room. How she hated being injured.

[glow=Orange,2,300]Duncan[/glow]
In the field where the others were was a huge black form. Its side raised up and down gnetly, as the creature dozed, about to wake up from its induced slumber. With a groan and protesting creak of limbs the dragon picked its head up and rolled over onto it stomach. It folded its wings against its back as it surveyed the area around it. Screwing its eyes closed the pounding its head finally started to fade away.
Getting to its feet it tarted the slow trek to the familiar scents it knew well. And to the scolding that was sure to follow. Tail dragging, leaving a huge rut in the grass as it ambled on.
Duncan approached Will, Skyler, Jo, Bridget and the wolves, his mind clouded.
----------------------------------- [glow=purple,2,300]Xeni and Xenos[/glow]
Xeni huddled against her brother, unsure of what was going on. They were in a place the smelled awful, lighting hurt, and was vaguely familiar.
Xenos wrapped his arms protectively around his sister's waist, holding her close as he watched the video playing infront of them. 'Alpha Unit? Now they were apart of? Marked? What?' As it mentioned the marking he held up his left hand, looked at his palm to see in block writing, 'AU.' Under it, in the same script was '21.' With a frown he took his sister's hand to see the same thing, except her number was 22.
Both of them gave a little frown when the video finished and they were led from the room to be shown the lab and their living quarters. They were also to be briefed on their new jobs.
----------------------------------- [glow=blue,2,300]Jay[/glow]
The leader sat out on the balcony, a steaming cup of coffee in one hand, a list of repairs in the other. As he sipped the hot liquid he inhaled, enjoying the island's scent. No more clog of polution, a clean, free scent was what they had to breathe in now.
Jay looked at the list again, tutting with distaste. Some many repairs to make, he was srprised they left this lab in such bad shape. Of course first on the list was to finish installing the new cages. He closed his eyes and made a mental promise he would after he finished his coffee. A long day of work lay ahead of him.
---------------------------------------- [glow=red,2,300]Maddie[/glow]
The blonde was lying on the beach, a towle underneath her, as she tanned in her white bikini. Maddie had a thing where she must remain her golden brown color. The warmth felt good, as she closed her eyes behind her ever present sunglasses.
This AU would get to work later, but right now she was taking the time to enjoy the new senery.
-------------------------------------- [glow=green,2,300]Rose[/glow]
Curiousity spiked her interests as the oddly marked Several stalked through the bushes. All the new scents, sounds, and feelings were overwhelming. She stopped to rub herself against one of the many trees, leaving ehr scent, and 'claiming' this area as her own.
As she continued on her way Rose heard the distant splash and roar of a waterfall.

Skyler didn’t even need to indicate he wanted down. As soon as the name ‘Willy’ left the darker boy’s lips. Will promptly let him go and allowed him to fall the small but not so gentle distant to the ground. Eyebrow perked in a ‘don’t start that again’ way. He didn’t immediately go over and start fussing over Jo either, although he did want to help and see what was wrong, he didn’t want to irritate the wild dog or give her any implication he thought she was in desperate need of help. Pride and all that rubbish. Instead he huffed and resisted the temptation to flick her ear ever so lightly, pouting. “Don’t be nasty to them Jo” he commented lightly as she growled at the bristling wolves who crowded about the pup, “They’re not here to feast on the nearest food source or out of loyalty, they want an easy meal. As soon as I give them that, they’ll be gone” he reassured her. Attention taken by the sudden departure of Bridget and then the questions about said departure as if they expected him to know why the snow leopard was being so…isolated around him. He simply shrugged, not bothering to elaborate because simply, he didn’t know what he’d done or what was wrong with his sister, but she had pretty much holed up from him lately. He sighed, glancing over as he saw the groggy lump of leather and scales totter over and he creased his brow. “Duncan, stop moving before you accidentally step on one of us…pr destroy the place” he huffed, putting a hand on the crest of the dragon’s chest to halt him, the wolves were already in a tizzy from the large creature. “Now, Jo…” he prompted edging over to her and sat beside her, lightly stroking the patch of clean fur on her neck with light feathery strokes. “May I?” he queried, indicating to her wounds.

Duncan halted when he felt the hand press agains his chest. With a blink he sat down, an odd position for a dragon. He kinda just dropped his behind with a thump as he looked down at Will, head cocked to one side. It was appearant that he had been drugged heavily, and this being his first time, he wasn't reacting well.

[glow=navy,2,300]Dreamcaster[/glow] Dreamcaster could hear as water fall as she slept her mind having a hard time coming to wake. Her deep sapphire eyes slowly began to open letting in a very blurred new world. She could see the water fall in front of her blurred. She looked around her silver ears flicking the cyan colored ear ring catching light through it's transparent surface. The black steel ring with the three crystals made of the same thing as the rings glistened as well. She stood wings folded on her back as she looked around her head spinning. She slipped and fell into the water. She growled and climbed back out hair wet. She began to walk around not seeing much but dense trees that stopped her from getting enough room to take flight.
Dreamcaster looked around and moved through the trees her eyes darted around her ears up alert. She walked slowly through the trees her vision getting better as the seditive wore off. She slowed as she walked out of the trees into a bright savannah area looking over she could see the river that led to the water fall not far off. She streached her wings as she looked up at the sky. She did not sense any experiments on this side of this island. She let out a deep chested roar hear raised. She had no idea how much of a distance the others were. She could feel one experiment near by but he felt faint as though inside a building with the others mostly human lives. She sat looking around her blue eyes searching for someone she knew.

Skyler felt his lips loose their upward curl when he saw Duncan making his way over. “Oh great, the over grown lizard found us,” he said ears drawn back, remembering the time when he and Bridget performed the feat of “taking care of the kids” for an afternoon that had turned to a total fiasco. It was truly a revelation the house wasn’t burnt to cinders that day. Being motherly was harder than he previously thought. He wondered how his own mom dealt with his brother and him who were constantly at sibling war. “I bet Duncan is just as helpful as having Godzilla for company,” scoffed the elk-boy, wiggling his small cotton ball tail that stuck out of his pants. Then, when he didn’t expect is Will had dropped him. He managed to catch himself before stumbling forward. Skyler turned around giving a small glare to fair-skinned male. “A crash landing alert might have been nice. You know that ‘Will-y’, comes with the package,” he said matter-a-factly, making sure the two syllables were clearly separated. Despite, Skyler sighed and sat hesitantly beside Duncan, legs spread out in front of him, arms behind him to prop his weight. Will had taken aid to Jo, and Bridget was slowly but surely dissipating into the near horizon. His mouth slanted undecided on what to think about Will’s and Bridget’s relationship. It was truly a mystery to him. If he had a sibling that didn’t want to kill him, he’d surely be a good and caring brother. But this was just unnatural. Kin were the most likely to stick with you through life, it was curious that the two never talked it out. Hadn’t they come from the same background, knowing both what each other had been through? Seemed Will was even more eager to speak to him about things then talk to the leopard-girl. Skyler shook his head, ears flicking away a few flies that began to buzz around the salty warmth of his head. He glanced at the wolves then realizing he was hungry too. He’d gladly morph to elk t go graze but not when they starving predators were around. Sitting there waiting he began to experiment with the grass around him. He plucked some of the yellow green grass from the earth and chomped down on the fibrous mass, chewing slowly. It wasn’t too bad. At least he didn’t have to hunt for his food.

"NonononoNONOOO!" Clea muttered. She's been taken away from her home, now she was on an island. Plus, her wing hurt like hell! She sucked in jumping into the air and beating her wings once, giving her a bit of air. Her left wing made a horrible popping noise, and pain shot up her wing and into her body. She crumpled to the ground, screaming, flaunting her ability to yell very loudly. "DAMN IT! DAMN IT!" The damn transexual scientist must have broken her wing! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andre' stood, staring up at the sky, smirking. That bird girl would be in for a surprise when she woke up on that island. For her to attempt to attack him was hillarious, but it must be punished. He grinned at the memory of her wing crackign as he carelessly tossed her into that cage... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hazel woke with a start, seeing the landscape and sniffing. Where was she? Humans had not contaminated this place yet, it smelled of salt water and foliage. It smelled...nice. "DAMN IT!!!!" Hazel turned her eyes to the screaming girl, who was rolling around on the ground in pain. "h my god...Clea!" She mummered, racing to her side. "What's wrong?" Hazel demanded. "MY WING!" Clea managed to scream. Hazel looked at the wing. It was bent at an odd angle. "Oh no..." Hazel whispered, batting her wings and lifting herself into the air. "HELP!" HELP!" She yelled, rising higher and higher, trying to find somebody on this island...

Duncan noticed the boy who sat down and cocked his head. Lowering his muzzled he snuffled at the brown hair, getting poked by the antlers. With a small growl Duncan began the chew on the closest one for a few seconds before realizing that it tasted bad. He left no marks though. Duncan glared at the antlers before he continued his exploration. He sniffed down Skyler's back, then moved to the front, pushing at the boy's chest with his snout.

Skyler grizzled at the feeling when Duncan stuck his snout into his hair, feeling the hot breath on his scalp and down his neck. It vaguely reminded him of being at his cousin’s barn when you stood in front of a horse’s stall with your back to it. The horse would then begin to nibble with its lips on the top of your shirt or your hair for attention or a carrot. He thought he felt a few ends of his antlers poke the hard scaly surface of the dragon’s smoke colored face making the creature leave him be, but then his eyes widened when he felt something grind down on his horns. “Duncan! Cut that out!” he warned turning to look the rather frightening reptilian face. If the opposite’s bulbous head was close he might have got a light whack when he turned his head. The elk-boy straightened up scooting away as the creature ran its nose up and down his back and chest, he couldn’t have exactly smelled like air-fresheners. He probably smelled of chemicals from the lab, sweat, and stale fear. Sometimes he wondered if Duncan was more dragon than human. It was rather odd. Out of irritation Skyler stood up brushing himself off. The group was getting rather large, it probably wasn’t a bad thing if they split up to look for stragglers. The boy’s earthy colored eyes flickered to the horizon, ears perking when he heard a call for help. “Hey Will—” he began to get the cheetah-boy’s attention. “Maybe while Jo is getting patched up, maybe Duncan and I can go see who the damsel in distress is,” he said, knowing Jo might appreciate just having Will around with out the other on lookers. He decided bringing the dragon would give him a sense of security that is—if Duncan wasn’t the danger. Whoever was out there that called for help wasn’t too far if they were in range of earshot. After approval he turned on his heel, looking over his shoulder to see if the dragon would be his hop along.

[ Carmella Bravanucci ] It was incredibly cold, sat here in the moonlight, staring out across the soft water of the medeterranean sea, the sound of blaring eighties music from a rusty car stereo pounding in the background as the wind ruffled through her deep black hair, her eyes fixed on a very small figure not so far along the beach, her own long black hair tousled by the wind as a taller woman that even Carmella scooped the child up, hugging her close. "Non si preoccupi, Carmella, io sono qui. Lo ho, il mio bambino..."
A solitary tear tracked down the much older Carmella's tanned cheek, her lips parting slightly as she got to her feet, watching as she was rushed up the beach to the waiting car by her mother, the visibly bored sillhouette of teenage Malvolia leaning against the bonnet, lazily stubbing out a cigarette and turning to climb back into the car, before it rolled away. Maybe this was it. Maybe she really was dead, and as pennance for being a complete bitch she had to watch as her life crumbled and fell all over again. She got to her feet, and headed in the opposite direction to her family of 1988. It was going to be a long walk home. Where was home? Home was twenty-one years in the future, home was a rediculously long way away. She sighed, pushing her hair out of her eyes with her magically healed fingers, still somewhat baffled by how, here, she was a whole. Maybe this is what death was, no gunshot wounds, no decayed hands no illness no pain... no Jack. She didn't know how long she would be able to stand this bloody dystopia. That beeping irritating sound in the back of her mind still wouldn't go away.
[ Jack Lancet ] She was still terribly cold, as the helicopter landed on the roof of the painfully familiar laboratory. Where he had first unearthed his eldest daughter. Now he was returning, alone, with only Carmella by his side. And she wasn't much use in this state. The three paramedics helped wheel her across to the terminal, and down in the lift to the pre-prepared medical unit. And again the fun of plugging her back into everything began. She just lay there, so perfectly still, almost dead as she clung to the edges of life, her latino face sombrely sleeping, eyes closed, hair scraped back. She looked not like Carmella, but like a ghost.
Jack had been forbidden to work on her himself. He was next of kin, or as good as, and so to exert himself would only cause him tremeandous pain should he fail to help her. Should, god forbid, these bullets kill her. If they did, Johnathan wouldn't be far behind. He was certain of that. He had killed before, by Johnathan's instruction, and though it was not truely his will that pulled the trigger that time he would do it again. Just to prove how much pain he truely could bring. For now, revenge wasn't first on his list. That was keeping Carmella alive. His untidy grying-brown hair fell into his blue eyes as he watched them attach the fresh IV drip to her limp arm, and unlatch the fluid flow. He ran his hand towards her fingers, and smiled slightly. "I'll be watching all the time. I'll be right here when you wake up. I promise." He said quietly, before leaving the paramedics to do their job.
[ Rook Lancet ] There was a short, strangled cry, and a thud as the mass of feathers and crimson hair colloded with the sand, her spine making a rather unholy cracking noise as she twisted to land on her back, protecting the oversized juvenile cheetah digging her claws into her mother's chest, making the most god-awful noise as she rolled into the sand, hissing and spitting and yowling like a cat having it's tail stepped on. Rook did nothing for about two minutes... lying perfectly still in the sand as she ascertained just how many bones had been broken. Then she realised she was intact, and scrambled to her feet.
"Evie, shut up, you'll start a riot." She grumbled, folding her wings neatly at her back, the hem of her delicate summer dress brushing about her ankles. This was shit, this was really really shit. She stuff was all back in LA. Everything. Her medical gear, Evie's things, eveything... She aimed a kick at the sand, the wind blowing it back into her eyes. "FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" She shouted, falling into the sand, glancing sideways at Evie, who had gone very very quiet and was watching her mother with rather timid eyes. "Oh... come here." Rook said, smiling delicately as she beckoned for the girl to come closer. Shifting human, Evie slunk into her mother's arms, cuddling close to her side. "See this? Mummy's been here before. The nasty sods from the lab dropped mummy and daddy and everyone here ages and ages ago, before you were even an idea." She said, brushing Evie's hair with her semi-extended talons. "Oh... you are so beautiful." Rook said, lifting Evie and sitting her down to face her. "Yeh." Evie said enthusiastically, grabbing Rook's ankles. "Yes." Rook said, her eyes tracing over to the lapping ocean once more.

[glow=navy,2,300]Dreamcaster[/glow]Dreamcaster walked around but when she heard a voice behind her she turned to look but she soon found herself human and falling onto her side. Her eyes closed after the voice then faded.
Julie had once again been able to recapture the girl that had been released with out her permission. A small mistake but not a major one. It would have been different if the girl was not on the island. So Julie began to bring Dreamcaster slowly back to the lab her card flashed at the gate as she pressed her finger to the pad entering codes. She hated technology but it helped with some things. She groaned and brought Dreamcaster into the new cage room. She placed the girl in one of the new cages and looked at her paper work filling out a few things before leaving the room.
Dreamcaster looked around the room when she finally woke once again. She moved to the front of the cage and put her hand on the glass. She frowned when she did so and sat back eyes looking down. She then kicked the glass with her clawed foot. She looked up at the small breathing holes at the top of the cage wishing she could some how slip out of them as easily as her breath did. "I wish daddy was here....." She said with a whimmper a tear falling down her cheek and as she began to cry her cage began to be more fogged up. Soon no one would be able to see inside due to the moisture on the glass.

[ Jack Lancet ] He pressed open the door to the cage room, dragging his cleanly-pressed white coat from the back of the door and pulling it over his shoulders, pulling out his glasses and pressing them onto his face as he turned and caught sight of Dreamcaster, and immediately his solemn, moody expression lifted. He recognised her face, the way the tears caught the light and the way her hair sat around her shoulders. The shape of her nose almost perfectly mirrored his own. He recognised her instantly. He had been told about the twins, but never before had he seen either of them. That stomach-churning reality of being a grandfather hit him in the face once more. "Hello." He said, smiling brightly. He didn't know what else he was supposed to say.

[glow=navy,2,300]Dreamcaster[/glow] She looked up and out at the man out side her cage the look on her face confused her. She backed up a bit as she wipped away some of her tears and with her other hand wipped away some of the fog on the glass. "Who are you and where is my dad?" She asked wanting to know where Will was though right now she only knew him as dad. Not knowing he was only her uncle in law.

[ Jack Lancet ] "Who's your dad? Who's taken you on, hmm?" He asked, crouching down in front of her cage, pressing a hand against the glass, his tentative blue eyes watching her with quiet curiosity. He wished he had been able to see her grow up to reach this age. He smiled quietly, the soft air around the glass warming and misting, spreading around his palm like a halo. "It's okay. I'm a doctor, my name's Jack. I'me here to look after you." He said, running a hand through his scrubby hair. It seemed he wasn't exactly sucessful in his line of work at present, not even able to lend a hand to those he loved.

[glow=navy,2,300]Dreamcaster[/glow] "I have heard the others call him Will. But brother and I call him daddy." Dreamcaster said the way she talks still sometimes sounding young as she is still learning though she looks to be in highschool. Dreamcaster looked at him his eyes with slight wonder. If she had seen the color of her own she would see her own peering back at her right now. She had her wings folded but the blue feathers matched her eyes while the membrane looked like silver.
