Sky looked up and smiled brightly when she saw the Irishman rounding the corner. She opened her mouth to reply a greeting and mention his blooded shoulder, but the brat comment stopped her from doing so. One eyebrow raised and a playful smirk twitched on her lips. “Hey Will,” she purred softly, now completely ignoring Lee and crouching down to be level with the cheetah. She had only been here a few months when the cheetah was becoming the pet he was now, and she must admit she had grown quite fond of him in his soft, kitty cat form. She smiled sweetly at him, holding her hand forward for him to sniff, before patting his head and giving him a quick tickle under the ear. Sky had to be one of the few people in the lab who was genuinely nice to the silver cat, not mocking or cruel, nor quick to take advantage of his docile state.
She didn’t know if he would remember her or not, she doubted he would remember so far back as the carnival, but maybe he might recall her from a few months ago, she wasn’t sure how sharp his memory was of his time in the lab. “Who did that to you boy?” she cooed, her hand coming and running down the cheetah’s leg, picking up his bandaged paw gently in her hand and running her soft fingers from her other hand over the top of it. She smiled softly at Will, before realising his paw gently and looking up at Lee, as if only just realising he was there. “Oh Lee, didn’t see you there,” she said with a playful, ‘does that answer your question’ look on her face. She straighten up and her playful look slowly ebbed away to be replaced by concern. “That looks nasty,” she admitted, blood seeping through his white lab coat. “You should get that sorted,” she pointed it out helpfully, but again in a playful manor. She hadn’t lost her entire charm, but now days it was a lot less serious then it would have been before.

ooc|| Crappy post, sorry
BIC|| Lee stopped short, raising a brow when the he was brushed off as if she hadn't heard a thing, although he took the moments he was ignored to study her a bit more, taking in the vibrant colours of her pelt. Truthfully the previously pretty girl now looked exotic and colourful like a tropical bird yet you could see where she had matured. If Sky was still up for her old games, he certainly wouldn't protest as much. He huffed lightly as the woman doted on the silver cat who, wary at first, seemed to relax and dropped the bag to nuzzle into the hand, grizzling his displeasure of the last hour or two to her, although of course she could not understand a word. He purred softly when she fussed over him, fur fluffing up at the rare treatment, seeming to smirk up at Lee at being the center of attention. "That's ok, just slowly bleeding out" the man replied dryly, raising a brow as the woman finally addressed him. "Nice to see you too" he replied to her smart comment, smirking slightly at the obvious brattiness. "Thanks Sky, a brilliant deduction as always" he responded wryly, "I'm just about to tend to that" he replied. "Just though I'd welcome you back" he then motioned to Will who picked up the kit. "Excuse me" he murmured, passing the woman to head to his room.

The chase was by no means conspicuous, although, no doubt, experiments and normal animals alike were probably used to loud bouts of disruption shaking the forest at its roots. However, despite the frequency of such occasions, it never failed to alarm the more skittish animals of the island. The tremendous roars of the winged lizards caused a widespread feeling of unease in a nearby meadow nestled away in the forest. All around the white undersides of tails were being exposed as the deer skittered, a few bawls of the more distressed deer echoed around the clearing and the near mature bucks that still lingered with the herd bellowed and grunted, thrashing their heads to ward off the invisible threat. One head raised above the others, the only residing full grown male in the herd, although this was most certainly not his harem. He had a feeling the does simply took him in because he was an unusual misfit, not that it bothered him, nor them, they seemed to like the time away from their fawns now and again, Demitrius was only happy to baby-sit. Now though, his pointed ears perked forward and his dark, large nose lifted to inhale deeply, he smelt fire, smoke. He grunted loudly and turned, on all fours trotting into the trees his lithe body winding through the trees with a confidence that implied he knew exactly where he was going. He heard sounds, his ears perked at the dialect he hadn’t heard in a good few years and he grunted back out of habit, inhaling deeply, smelling the familiar musk of an elk, but it was tainted, in a way similar to his own. He pressed his dusty brown body through the bushes and paused at seeing a boy, a human one, despite the antlers and large ears. His ears perked forward with a low grunt the buck pushed himself up, standing now at six foot, towering the younger figure, where his sharp, six pointed antlers added another daunting 2’2” feet.

Skyler dusted his elbows off, checking them to make sure they hadn’t been to badly scraped. He swept his fingers over his forehead feeling knot beginning to form under the skin from the jarring impact. There was nothing between him and the hard place, since his antlers were just growing in and his horns hadn’t made much progress either. Although it could have been worse since he antlers were still relatively soft and covered in velvet. The elk-boy hissed through his clenched teeth waiting for the soreness to fade. He stood, hands placed on his thighs as he pushed himself up. He grumbled something under his breath, ears flattened against his head. He turned on his heel, ready to walk towards the lab when he stumbled into yet another obstacle. “Gah!” His face temporarily buried itself into something with coarse fur, and he gasped hobbling back. The elk-boy took a moment to find the face of the creature, his shoulders raised with alarm, arms spread in front of him. Finally, his gaze settled on the ungulate-like face above him, and the fear lifted from his features. “Oh lordy…don’t tell me there are carnivorous deer on this island too,” he said looking at the odd creature. “Sorry, ‘bout that. Eh, uh…heh…Did you know the trees here go for afternoon strolls?...Well uh I gotta go…Go run along with your little bambi friends now,” he uttered, the last of his sentence fading. He really wanted to get to the lab, they did some awful things to him his last visit but he wasn’t on the list for now, and wanted to get Michael out of there if he could. Or at the least make sure his friend was alright. He started pacing away from the deer-male, checking over his shoulder to see if the stranger was following.

The deer watch the boy, who didn’t actually seemed to see him at first, he studied the state of his antlers and realised they were re-growing, he cocked his head lightly, judging that this young buck wasn’t far from maturity, give or take another two years maybe. His ears perked forward as the male bumped into him, and he resisted the urge to chuckle at the absent-minded boy, honestly how did he not injury himself in a forest full of obstacles when he didn’t see what was right in front of him. What if he’d been a bear? They were a very real threat, and an avid predator of his herd. His lively amber brown eyes study the boy, listening to his words, they were familiar, and he understood them, it just took him a second to form the reply. After all, years of nothing but grunts, bellows and bawls tended to stunt conversation with someone who could obviously talk. His voice grumbled for his throat as the boy began to walk away, his mind rapidly trying to think of what he wanted to say and his unpractised tongue trying to form the words. “We-wit-Way-Wait” he managed at last, his voice rough from the lack of use in the unused language, using muscles in a way he hadn’t for a long time. “Are-are you” he turned his head and coughed to clear his throat, turning to look at the boy again, the words becoming more familiar. “Are you sure you do, do-not want...company?” he managed to work out, trying to remember the way the words went, his accent long since lost in his time of primitive living. “Might be bears, wolves...or m-more strolling trees” he added, a smile twitching on his lips. “I-I’m Demitrius” he offered, his ears perking forward hopefully for a similar response.

Skyler turned around at the pitiful word. He forced down an awkward grin, obviously this was another one of the experiments that had isolated themselves. He stopped to let the other catch up, just briefly, he had to get moving if he even wanted a glimpse at Mike. “Um well…” he began. He wasn’t entirely sure if he wanted to be in the other’s presence since his…condition was a bit more obvious then his and was hoping to get into the lab with the help of a cap or hood and a white coat. He pondered further, and had an idea. He would play the scientist and the deer-boy would be his experiment; even more convincing and they’d likely both be in and out of the lab in no time if they had to. “Okay, you can come. But since you’re kinda eh…how do I put it…different,” he put it with a playful smirk, so hopefully he’d take it in stride. “I’m an evil scientist and you’re my guinea pig. Kapeesh? Otherwise they’d catch both us before we can say ‘kiss your buck good-bye’. My friend just got taken to the lab. Gonna see if he needs help,” he explained morphing his legs so that hard hooves and denser legs could take him there faster and to keep up with the other.
“Like I need another leaf eating critter around to fend off predators. Even my friends have me on their menu. Adds a little spice to life. But I like company. Name’s Skyler,” he replied taking a leap forward to sprint towards the lab. “Race yah!”

Although he knew his speech was a bit stunted while he grew accustomed to the language again, he was pleased he seemed to at least be understandable. He approached the boy, hooves muffled on the grass and his tail flicked slightly as his ears swivelled in various directions, it was nice to meet another experiment for once, since he’d mostly been in the company of his herd. As the boy spoke, relaying to him what assumed was a ‘plan’ the buck’s brow furrowed in bemusement. “The lab?” he repeated, finding mimicking much more effective. As the boy speed up, the buck tossed himself forward onto his hands, trotting easily along beside the boy, his longer legs carrying him further than Skyler’s shorter ones. He looked puzzled, “Why pretenc- pre-pretend?” he frowned. “Why not enter?” he questioned, as if it were so much easier than the faux identities the boy was coming up with. He knew the building, of course, he’d been there several times for check-ups, walked in and out again. The buck snorted, “Another ‘leaf-eating critter’ with large antlers is go-better, than no one with st-bumps” he corrected himself, turning his long face towards the boy who he was more or less eye level with. “Would friend not be released soon? I often out in day” he replied, cocking his head slightly as he made his way towards the lab with ease and confidence of its direction, he often tread the path twice a year, the middle of summer and the end of winter. He snorted lightly as the young buck took off, and with a smile leapt forward, cloven hooves digging into the ground as his body propelled forward, his weight being tossed forward giving him a slight boost, he kept with the boy easily, galloping along beside him, a noticeable graceful leap in his step.

Skyler paused in mid-step, looking at Demitrius with an astonished glance. “You sayin’ we should just waltz in there? Are you crazy? They drilled a friggen hole into my head! I don’t even know what they took or what they tinkered with!” he snapped, pointing to the remaining stitches on the side of his head, which were easily seen through the recently short shaved hair. “We are hell not just goin’ to just ‘enter’. Ain’t no such thing,” he added, shaking his head at the seemingly suicidal idea. “What’s to it? Did you just skip in there and they took your temperature and ask you to say ‘aah’? I don’t even think I have even seen a thermometer or tongue depressor since I’ve been ‘ere,” he continued rather wrapped in the idea of simply entering. Or maybe he wasn’t one of the lucky ones.
The elk-boy eyed Demi. “They grow bigger,” he stated. “Not sure…some are in and out pretty fast. For some it’s like the fricken Willy Wonka chocolate factory when people go in and never come out,” he explained. “Longest I’ve been was a couple weeks…I haven’t seen Jo since we arrived and Will too for that matter,” he added, falling quiet, pondering to himself.
Soon both of the males had made it to the lab. Skyler remembered to shift his legs when his hooves clicked with the cement stairs. It was apparent that the younger male was being watchful, his forest colored eyes darting every which way, ears perked to their maximum ability. The boy grabbed Demitrius by the hoofed fingers walked briskly with him inside through the swinging doors. To much of his luck there was a coat rack, a shape he was rather familiar with and yanked one of the white coats off the hook. He wrapped the article of clothing around himself covering the informal bronze skin of his chest. Luckily the length of the coat also dragged a bit and hid his bare feet. Skyler pulled a crumpled baseball cap from his pocket and pulled it over his head tucking his ears inside. It was a new look, but it would have to do.
“Alright, you uh…dirty old hermit come with me,” he hissed awkwardly this time pulling Demi along by the arm. He led them through the halls, peering into cages and windows for the white haired experiment. “Where is he?” he uttered, as they passed numerous holding spaces most of which were empty. “Sheesh, where did they stuff him? I hope I didn’t drag you in here for nothing,” he added.

The buck’s ears twitched at the boy’s incredulous tone, pace slowing slightly to examine the stitches. He frowned mildly, having trouble relating the scientists he knew to the one’s Skyler depicted, however the stitches did look painful. “Why did they do it?” he asked, speech coming more easily now as he trotted along beside the boy. An ear pinned back at the angry tone and he snorted lightly, looking forward again but continued to listen to the rant. The weird way in which the boy spoke amused him, and he assumed that his accent meant he had not been from the UK, America maybe. “Well, yes, really” the buck replied to the no doubt rhetorical question. “I was to go two a year” he replied. “I went, they done their tests and I left” he informed the boy, “I did not fight them, so they had no reason to harm me, I went willingly from the beginning, I don’t see a point in fighting them now when they haven’t hurt me...”
“Depends what they do” he replied calmly. “Some tests take longer, hindered more when experiments fight, they hurt themselves, stay longer, antagonise scientists, make it all worse” he explained, “Seen it happen”. He smiled at the reference. “Willy Wonka, been a long time, good book” he mused, from what he could remember of it. “Miss chocolate though” he chuckled quietly, lifting his head when the lab came into view. “Jo, Will?” the deer queried. “Friends?” he guessed. “Probably fine, long as they haven’t made enemies” he murmured.
The buck stretched and stood, arms arching as he shook his head slightly, his hooves clicked on the stairs, it felt a little odd to be here out of season, he wasn’t due for another few weeks. Demitrius watched the boy as he shuffled about and his eyes darted here and there, as if making sure he was blending in, Demi didn’t have the heart to tell him he was sticking out more than ever. The buck barely managed to grunt a warning when he was pulled forward by the boy and his antlers got jarred against the doorframe. “Woah!” he drew back and lowered himself onto all fours again. “Too tall for hall, with antlers” he smiled, following the boy calmly enough down the corridor. He inspected the boy’s appearance, shaking his head lightly. “Very....professional” he attempted, despite looking nothing but. “Walk on other side of me” Demi grunted, shoving Skyler closer to the wall so his own larger body hid the smaller one and drew much less attention.
He allowed himself to be led through the corridors, waiting as the boy peered into rooms. “No trouble” he assured him at their so far fruitless search. “I can stop by scientist rooms, get apple, I love apples” he informed the elk.

Sky smirked at Lee’s reply and quick dismissal. “See you haven’t changed much,” she said brightly as she spun on her heels and followed the scientist and cheetah into Lee’s room, seeming unaffected by the Irishman’s dry tone. Her tail swayed slowly back and forth as she entered Lee’s room, her bright blue eyes taking in the familiar surroundings, having spent more time then most in here. “So what happened?” she questioned as she pulled herself up to perch on the edge of his desk. The skirt she wore didn’t even come close to her knees, so she had to cross her legs to stop Lee, or Will, getting a glimpse at her underwear. Her sandaled feet hung in the air, one foot tapping lightly against her other leg and her tail lay across the desk, the tip of it hanging off the edge.
Sky seemed to be in no hurry to help the scientist, but the truth was she didn’t have a clue when it came bandaging up wounds. She was hardly the sort of person who would stop to help a wounded kitten, so she never saw the point in learning how to patch people up. She wore a navy blue tank top which showed as much skin as was possible, showing off her bellybutton ring, which was new. Not to mention the tattoo she had gotten of a purple feather on her back, right above her tail.

The man entered his room which, much to his relief when he'd first moved in, was not the same blinding sterile white as the rest of the building, but instead a sandy brown with lighter beige carpets. ""Why bother changing something when its as good as its going to get?" he replied simply with a slightly tight-lipped smile, smothering a small grimace as he unbuttoned his shirt. He paused briefly only when the silver cat leapt passed him and took control of Lee's bed, plopping down and lying on his back, his stretched form taking over the whole length of the modest bed. "Make yourself comfortable" he sighed as he finished unbuttoning his midnight blue shirt and slid his good arm out of it, before he began to slowly peel away the torn material from his wounded shoulder. "Cassandra was up to her usual antics. She released Jo from her cage, leaving Will tied to the wall, in her mental state Jo attacked with mercy. When the fight drew to a close, I was left to try and cage her again, she got a hold of my shoulder. Probably would have been worse if Will was any less obedient" he informed the girl, ignoring the light snuffling from the bed where the cheetah had wormed himself beneath the bedsheets. "Could you fill the sink with warm water, please Sky" he requested, gesturing with his good arm to the adjoining door which led to the bathroom, while he retrieved various items from medical kit.

Sky grinned as she watched the cheetah settling himself down on Lee's bed. "You'll be picking out silver hairs for weeks," she commented lightly, more to herself then to Lee. Why was it animal hair had a habit of embedding itself deep into furniture and carpet and staying there for ages, no matter what you do or how many times you hover. She glanced up when Lee started to undo his shirt, no bothering to hide her wondering eyes, ignoring the blood and pain Lee was clearly in and just sitting there, checking out his chest. That was until he started talking again, which snapped her out of the trance. “That bitch,” Sky growled, slightly louder then she had intended. Sky rarely got angry, but she found herself becoming prickly whenever Cassandra and Lee were mentioned together. No, Sky wasn’t the jealous sort, but Cassandra’s added hatred for the brown eyed man since they broke up was unfair and, obviously, a real problem. “Sure thing,” Sky replied with a soft smile when asked to fill the sink, she uncrossed her legs and slipped off the edge of the desk, her tail flicking lightly as she made her way into the bathroom, putting the plug into the sink and turning the tap on, checking the water with her fingers, making sure the water wasn’t too hot.

Lee chuckled lightly, glancing over at the conspicuous lump on his bed, outlined by his duvet. "I think I'll agree with you there2 he replied to her mutter, but at least fur tended to be more a heat insulator instead of a prickly nuisance like dog or human hair. He entered the bathroom with several items in hand and placed them on the toilet cistern which was sat close to the sink. "Yes, she had become a bit more testy lately, She even tried to think she could get me fired for leaving Will unattended" he rolled his eyes. "I'm surprised she hasn't been fired for constantly wasting funds on bullets and medical damages" he muttered. He dipped a cloth into the warm water in the sink and squeezed out the excess water before he began to tenderly wash away the blood, hissing between clenched teeth now and then. "So, what have you been up to? It's been rather...uneventful without your usual mischief" he murmured, glancing at her from the corner of his eye as he dried his shoulder and applied a cream to the bite marks. Thankfully paper stitches were sufficient for some of the large tears and after application he pressed a large pad to his shoulder to absorbed any blood and handed Sky a roll of bandages. "Could you?" of queried, holding out his arm to make the bandaging easier.

"The gaul of some people," Sky smirked. "Not that she'd be successful. The board aren't about to dismiss one of their top scientists, anyway, your one of the few scientists the experiments seem to respond to. If all we're left with is Cassandra then working with the experiments is going to get a lot harder. But then again I doubt they’re about to get rid of Cassandra, she’s been getting away with that crap for years, I don’t see that changing anytime soon.” Sky took the bandages with a smile and began to apply them to Lee’s arm, being careful not to hurt him further. Sky could have a surprisingly gentle touch, when she wanted. “Me?” she shrugged absently. “Alpha Unit Boot Camp mostly, boring as hell, although there was this one wild night we got,” Sky grinned. “Can’t remember much of it, but it must have been good. Woke up the next day with a new piercing and tattoo.” She chuckled and shook her head lightly, causing a few locks of red hair to fall from behind her ear in front of her face, but not being able to move them away as she concentrated on bandaging Lee up. “Apart from that, nothing much happened. Got a new DNA,” she added, flicking her tail lightly against Lee’s leg to emphasize her point. “Wish I had been as drunk on that day as I had been when I got the tat,” she admitted, her blue eyes glazing over slightly, but only for a moment before she blinked the memories away and grinned brightly at Lee again. “All done,” she said happily, her hand lingering on Lee’s arm for a moment, before she smiled at him and backed away a step. Her smile had a habit of lighting up her whole face, causing her eyes to shine with joy and mischief.

Skyler’s ears flattened at Demitrius’s rather naïve point of view of the scientists, or at least he saw it that way. “They haven’t hurt you? Huh…funny because they took me away from my home, my friends, my family…It hurts,” he muttered. Yes, the elk-boy usually had a positive out look on things, but there was no way he was able to mold that into a sugar coated memory. It was just a fact. It infuriated him, or confused him that people could just accept the situation that they were in. Just give in. Like that. They were turning into what the scientists wanted them to be. Animals.
The younger male let out a soft snort. Having doubted the deer-boy had ever read a book. Or maybe it just had been a long while since, considering the other’s rusty grammar. “Friends. I hope so.”
Skyler winced a sorry look at Demi. “I know the feeling. I guess the nice thing about living in the woods is there aren’t any door ways to get jammed in,” he said before slipping into his disguise and continued down the hallway. “I try, I try,” he said walking on Demi’s inside step.
Skyler raised an eyebrow when the older male finally spoke up after coming up empty handed after winding through the halls, back tracking a few times. “Go get your apples,” the elk-boy said rather dismissively, with a ragged sigh. “Gah…I can’t do anything right,” he uttered disparagingly to himself sliding down a wall in a relatively dormant hallway, head swayed back. He sat for a few moments hands sifting mindlessly through the white empty pockets before getting up again.
If he didn’t find Michael then maybe he’d run into Jo and Will like he mentioned. Rounding up his friends these days, was like trying to herd cats.

Lee held his arm extended and still as the young woman wound the bandages around his shoulder and upper arm, the pressure putting some relief on the blood that continued to seep out of the wounds a little. He glanced at his shoulder, watching as the bruising, torn skin was slowly hidden from sight by crisp white bandages. "It's a nice treat to be complimented these days" he informed her dryly, smirking slightly. "They respond because I do my job, not because I try to torment them, I wouldn't have gotten into this if I'd known what it actually entailed" he shook his head lightly. He listened intently to her story, smiling slightly at the typically 'Sky' antics. "Why do I not find any of this hard to believe?" he commented, casting her a sidewards glance. His body, currently hypersensitive from the close contact, buzzed when he felt the flirty appendage brush his leg and he arched a brow which was lost in his spiked fringe. He mouth quirked down wards slightly as she mentioned the change in DNA. "It hurt?" he questioned, it didn't on occasion, but some DNA, when it was weakened and infected with another DNA, did tend to cause quite some agony. "It's a shame, you were quite the vixen" he chuckled lightly, rolling his arm to test the bandaging and gave it a nod of approval. "But the new DNA is most complimentary" he mused, moving into his bedroom.
Demi frowned, looking at the boy from the corner of his eye. "They took me too. I went willingly, made them promise to care for family, as long as they're safe. I saw no point fighting if it would simply get my family hurt" he explained softly. "I do miss them, though, that has never changed" his words noticeably improving as the unused language returned to him the buck lifted his head, snorting slightly as he shifted his nose upwards as if to scent. The deer looked to the boy who was now slumped against the wall, his ears flicking in separate directions. "What are you thinking?" he asked softly, watching the display of various emotions cross across the boy's face, anger, frustration to name a few, from what he could tell. "You know, you're very expressive" Demitri commented off-handedly, eying the boy, "I thhink that, even if you may not dislike me, you do not like your assumptions of me" he murmured. "It's better to get to know people before you judge them" he warned lightly, thought his voice was more chiding that annoyed. He turned and trotted away for roughly ten minutes, before he was trotting idly back with a small plastic bag hooked on his uppermost antler, the contents looking suspiciously red and round. "Right, so what are we going to do next?" he queried after locating the elk.

“I’m sure my mom’s fine, if she’s still around, I don’t know. But, it’s the separation,” he explained. “Yeah I miss mine too. I have you guys, but it’s seemingly more and more difficult to run into them,” he said keeping the possibilities to himself. He knew some of the experiments were probably succumbing to their stronger DNA. He had seen it in Jo and Indi, but others also had the tendency. The island was likely to bring that behavior out.
Skyler looked up at Demi with one squinted eye when asked the question. “Nothin’. Just I feel bad cuz I shunned my friends a week or two ago, and just wanted to do somethin’ nice,” he answered. The elk-boy felt uncomfortable at the comment about being expressive, and suddenly felt he had said too much. The boy straightened up and tried to grin. He rarely let anyone hear about the things that made him sad, or what he thought it to be, weak. Let alone a stranger. Maybe he had just been thinking about things like this more often. He just forgot to keep himself guarded with smart comments and jokes. He didn’t know why he had to keep his soft underside fenced, even though no one wanted to hurt him. It was just a habit. It gave him a false sense of security.
“I haven’t judge you,” he started. Maybe it was the rather passive remark he made about the apples. Maybe his frustration was misinterpreted to be impatience with Demitrius. “Sorry, if it seemed that way,” he said, shrugging. He watched the deer-boy lope off in search of his treat.
He continued to walk through the maze of hallways. He forgot how expansive the inside of this thing was, not mention rooms inside rooms. He figured that Michael was either here and passed him, or he somehow made it out of Tori’s grip. Maybe Twilight had done it. He wound back at the hallway he previously had been with Demi and found the individual there. He turned on his heel and began walking towards the exit. “Well, there was something I wanted to do with some rope, a spare tire, and a net I saw out front,” he said trotting down the steps. “You thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’? I wanted to make a tire swing and hammock by the beach. Thought it would be fun,” he said lifting the tire and rolling it along. “You can help me if yah like. Have you met any of the others?”

Carmella paused, the last two discs flying over her head and vanishing into the trees behind her, with a clunk of clay against wood. She narrowed her Latin eyes, rolling her shoulders back, lowering her gun and stepping forwards, that tell-tale smile creeping back onto her lips.
"Not the gun you've got to worry about now, is it, Lancet?" She asked, raising an eyebrow as she twisted the pistol around her finger, before pressing it back into the black leather holster at her hip, as she chewed her lip cautiously, picking across the earth with almost unbelieveably dainty feet for someone quite so aggressive and violent. She didn't quite know what to make of the prodigal son, whether to tell him what he would probably not want to know. She tossed her hair over her shoulder, and made a decision. She'd go ahead and tell him anyway, whether he knew or not. "Met your sister, I take it?" She asked, folding her arms as she watched him.
Rook watched, her amber eyes seeking down to his arm, her face twitching slightly as she reached forward with slim fingers, closing cold around his bare skin. "You need to be careful on those rocks..." She said quietly, wiping her thumb over the bleeding cut in his soft skin, lifting her bloodstained thumb to her lips and licking it, tilting her head to one side. "And you don't get enough iron." She said, a slight smile on her lips.
"Sit." Rook said softly, indicating to the ground as she turned away. "I'll compress your cut." She turned to her sorry looking pile of fabric and torn clothes, and pulled the last remaining sleeve from the tettered lab coat, picking the stitching and wrapping it tight around Yami's arm, tucking neatly at the back, at tapping the site of the cut lightly. "You should be okay for now. It's clean at least." She said quietly, almost to herself.

Being brought to this strange place at the beginning she seemed like she was a bit more needed then now. They took her to a room and gruffly put her in a chair and bound her down. They had taken blood samples from her several times before but never bound her down till now. They had given her small shots but they never hurt. The process this time around was different. They were mixing things and ended up with a grayish red fluid they put it into a needle.
"Everything is ready for miss Walker?" A woman said as she walked in. It was Julie, Taini had only heard about her a few times. They said she was not all human. This confused her, how could anyone not be fully human? She knew they did tests on animals but she thought they were real animals could they be half human? "Yes, Julie everything is ready, the band, and the leather straps." A young man said and handed a needle to Julie. Julie pushed the needle into Taini's arm and she flinched the fluid felt hot. As it spread the heat did as well. Her mind fogged and slipped into almost a half sleep state. She began to shrink and limbs distort.
She now looked like an baby owl that was adult size a height of 2 1/2 feet she was larger then the normal sooty owls. They put a plastic band with her number and a few letters on it. #101 S.O/H They put a falconry leather strap on her legs. Julie was putting on a leather glove. Soon Taini was fully fledged and ready for flight. The change was complete and the haziness was fading as she was picked up. She closed her eyes tightly the bright lights bothering her eyes. "That is a good girl. Come on time for you meet your new friends." Julie said as she took Taini off down the hall holding her in her glove by the owl's legs a hand on the girls back to keep her up. Julie took Taini to a room where the security was much lower for the newer experiments that are smaller in size. Julie placed her in a bird cage that could be carried and that had a lock that used a card key. Julie put the card key on the wall and left the room. "Sleep well little birdy." Julie said as she left leaving an low light on.
Taini looked around and the cage startled her the most. "What is going on?! Why is- Oh my gosh!?! I am an owl! That is what they meant by that Julie lady not being all human!" Taini looked around and having trouble moving around the cage she ended up falling into the water dish her feathers getting soaked. She let out the characteristic skreeee of the barn owl family. "Oh great... and that water is cold." She shudders and whistles wondering if any one will hear her whistles and screams.

Yami hissed in discomfort as Rook touched the sore flesh and cut. he frowned, almost like a pout as she licked the blood, /his/ blood from her fingers. "Eh? Oh yeah, I haven't been eating much..." he commented as he looked down at the long cut on his arm, it wasn't too deep.
He followed her instructions and sat down and offered his arm for her to work on. He watched her as she compressed his wound in wonder. He wasn't really into medicine. "Thanks, Rook" he praised, a small smile on his face.
